I really want this to work so it makes Ward of Dawn more useful. It's decent, but I feel like if it worked with Ursa Furiosa it would be even better as a support/defense class.
Just imagine, you're in Gambit. Team mate goes down. You drop Ward of Dawn on their body, block damage, and get some super energy back.
Thoughts?
Quick Edit: In PvE super energy granted back from blocking is about 50-55%, I feel this should be fixed for PvP as well (for a fair trade for Ursa Furiosa to work with Ward of Dawn).

Remember when someone destroyed a Titan bubble, it would drop three orbs and typically spared those inside the bubble the majority of the damage (nova bomb, took multiple golden gun shots etc). Not anymore.
-
3 RepliesI vote that titans should be able to lift and throw a ward of dawn after it has absorbed enough damage dealing massive explosive damage on impact.
-
Im fine with this. PvE may become a little TOO easy with this however always having a constant shield ect. In PvP, unless you're a complete an utter -blam!-, you dont shoot the shield. Unless you're 100% braindead and 4 years old, you dont go into the bubble either (yes there are a lot of 4yr olds running around). Im happy just letting them drop it and just walk away. Although with all the BB hunters running around, bubbles just get f'ed all day long. AND if they have shards of G, they can go again for free ;) Balanced

1 ReplyObviously not, ursa furiosa already gives infinite supers. Whats to stop 2-3 titans running the same exotic and spamming the bubble on iron banner? For example if I use a nova bomb to destroy it, sure the bubble will pop but the titan still gets his super back instantly meaning all the guy has to do is get back on the point and use the bubble again. Its so easily exploitable that its no even funny.
-
1 ReplyNo it’s already broken f that
-
6 RepliesMy only fear would be as usual in pvp it would be OP if it got as much super back as code of the commander. As a bubble titan you could bubble every objective point and rarely lose it. So control and countdown would be riddled with titans. But if it gave less super back I would have no issue with it.
-
Can I get them to drop first?
-
I said no because I think all the bubble needs is a boost in orb generation like in D1. Being able to make up to 7 orbs. No exotic needed

Edited by Mace-4k: 11/8/2018 12:00:37 AMYou know I mentioned it earlier in this very thread but I wanna bring it up again just to drive it home some more: If Ursa Furiosa was to work with the Bubble.... that would make Sentinels even more like D1 defenders cause then Ursa would basically just become the Gift of the Void Defender Perk from D1. You know, the one that generated Orbs when your bubble was hit by enemy fire. Except Ursa wasn't was OP in PvE cause it doesn't generate super energy for your whole party, only yourself. Having realized that: Yeah, absolutely. Ursa could and probably should totally work with the bubble.

2 RepliesGIVE THE BUBBLE SOME LOVE
-
I don’t even then yet but i wish so that would be amazing
-
Edited by Stygames2: 11/8/2018 4:12:35 PMEither that, or they could give Helm of Saint-14 an Ursa Furiosa-ish benefit for Ward of Dawn.
-
9 RepliesThis. And the Geomag stabilizers should benefit stormtrance.
-
1 ReplyDo you know how useful that would've been for Vosik? oh no you shot my shield SIKE
-
I'm all for it
-
Im voting yes. I just got this exotic, but Sentinal is my favorite Titan sub. Anything that makes it better is ok in my book.
-
2 RepliesIt would make the bubble respectable again. The return of the Bubble Bros?
-
GREAT BIG MAGIC BUBBLES! BUBBLES!
-
Yes! Bubble needs everything it can get right now since they made sub classes so dull and less flexible in D2. Bubble used to be my favorite super but now I haven't even used it once.
-
Honestly it’s completely trash in pve bots just don’t do enough damage. I’ve literally been focused on by a mob of enemy’s an I’ve only gotten 25% of my super back. If it worked with ward of dawn that would be amazing. You’d really be the defender of the squad.

Yes,No wait No........maybe.

Hell no You just want WoD to be the answer to everything like it was in D1. -
1 ReplyThe thing about Ward of Dawn, the major love for that bubble shield is: you are protected and also buffed after leaving the shield. The problem with it is reasons to go into the bubble shield, in D1 whenever you go into the shield, you get a health buff or your weapons get a damage buff and you keep that when leaving the shield. For PvE they're is no unstoppable force that requires the bubble shield to be implemented and not many outnumbering odds that leave you vulnerable. The only exotic that has a tinge of the D1 bubble shield Saint-14 Helmet. The weapons of light is debatable for the bubble shield since the sentinel shield has it, granted I do think they should buff the AoE on that shield. So the solution for this problem to make it viable is: -Subclass redesign to benefit the Ward of Dawn -A large pool of bubble shield related exotics with Mobility, Resilience and Restoration buffs -Increase the number of ADs in PvE for missions with more than one fireteam member or provide a modifier that increases enemy numbers.
-
1 ReplyThe entire “bubble up” subclass needs buffing ....and Weapon/Armour of Light returned to it’s rightful place.....and let Titans (and allies) shoot through Bubble It’s a static defensive zone...it should take any type of one shot hit (void bomb/solar blades/striker missile) ....It should take one full hit to crack that shield (one super to deny another) You can’t kill nothing with a static bubble, surely it should buff allies so they can fight on!
-
10 RepliesYeah yeah I know you want it for pve/ gambit But in pvp that would be broken. Especially the amount you get back for any damage. You can't push into a bubble without getting punched to death. If you used a super like thundercrash or blade barrage it would do so much damage it would probably give your super back. Nobody would push a bubble. If only bungie could nerf and buff things separetely based on activities. Oh wait, that won't happen
-
3 RepliesFor PvE, phenomenal idea (gambit as well). However, in PvP the exotic is already broken and should be rebalanced.
