For some reason 1/3 of the Annual Pass content is a gambit themed DLC. Sorry Bungie. Once I get Malfeasance I'm done with Gambit forever.
Edit: I am flabbergasted by the response of Guardians hate playing Gambit. Obviously Bungie offers these carrots to keep playlists populated and obviously it works for a while. The struggle is real, Guardians.
Edit: Finally done with this quest and of all teams to get 4 kills on as an invader, it was a 4 stack with sleeper, crooked fang, and a 1000 voices. Thanks much to my fireteam for putting up with me all night. Gun is great, by the way.

For the first couple of weeks Gambit was amazing. You had to use skill and there was a variety of weapons being used. Now it's become tedious because it's like groundhogs day. You load in, everyone has sleeper, everyone uses that same strat (which I understand) and instantly melts the boss. It's essentially the pve version of crucible now with it's must have meta's and whiny lfg's. And just like crucible it comes down more to running a 4 stack than actually skill.

4 RepliesI haven’t played a gambit match since I have the gun now. The Destiny franchise is old hash now. Been playing it since D1, day 1 and it’s boring nowadays. Yall have a nice life those that remain loyal to this dying title. Too little, too late. Outta here. ✌️

Gambit is the only fun thing left in the game. Once you hit 600 there's nothing left to do except grind for exotics and that gets boring super fast.

2 RepliesEdited by GouldBerg988: 11/8/2018 3:03:46 PMLooked at your gambit stats: https://warmind.io/gambit/4611686018428850149 104 matches total wow...and here i was believing you must have had 300 at least the way you were hyping your pain.

3 RepliesI'm almost done with my third reset and only need the Ghost, ship, and Malfeasance for the Dredgen title. Probably not playing Gambit anymore after that.

1 ReplyEdited by Boothby: 11/8/2018 3:01:50 PMBungie doesn't understand human nature. Not even a little bit... Humans will fixate on getting a random thing to happen and make themselves more and more miserable the longer it takes. This is knowable. I've personally resisted the urge to ruin my free time by only playing Gambit constantly in hopes of the Malfball making an appearance. I instead decided to play Gambit like I normally would and if it showed up, I'd be as ready as I could be for it. Same with exotic drops. I'm happy for the ones I've gotten, but I know that if I fixate on getting them faster, I'll be miserable. No reason to ruin my own experience when there's still plenty of fun to be had in the game...

Up until yesterday, I’d only played a handful of matches ( the first match was morbid curiosity, the others were to complete 1st stage of the Ace of Spades quest ), needless to say, I did not understand what all the hype was about ( and I still don’t get it ). While I’d didn’t hate my Gambit experience, I didn’t find it fun either. I logged in yesterday, made an attempt at doing 3 matches ( to collect the 2 Powerful rewards, I also wanted to see if I could get the ‘Meatball’ to spawn ). Got booted from the 3rd match after my PS4 crashed ( one of those CE- error codes ) while I was in mid Nova Bomb on the Primeval. My experience yesterday was less than pleasant. I did very well in my earlier Gambit matches and managed to win most of them, however in the last month or so the playerbase really seems to have stepped up its game and I got curb stomped in every single round which made for an extremely unpleasant experience. Before hand, I was relatively ambivalent towards Gambit, but now I officially HATE it.

1 ReplyEdited by Sandman: 11/8/2018 8:40:14 PMI was worried about the last part but joined a LFG and took my chance and jumped through. Luckily all grouped together and took out 3with barage blade and in left me 20 secs with the other guy and my sleeper It feels more difficult than it is. Not sure the grind was worth it gun is very poor in normal pvp not like the Thorn in its day before it was nerfed

Gambit is horrible.

1 ReplyI love Gambit, but I do think it needs a few minor adjustments. They are evolving the gametype in the third DLC, so I guess we will see where it goes.
-
I only did gambit for the ace of spades quest and won't bother with it anymore. I've tried a couple of other times for bounties but it is just not worth it for me. I will not do anymore quests that involve gambit or crucible other than to maybe help a clan mate. I don't care how awesome the exotic might be, the irritation isn't worth it.
-
There will be gambit stuff in that dlc, but by the way it's put it'll be a lot about the drifter as well, who is a truly curious character.
-
I’m in the same boat as you.
-
I was lucky enough to get it immediately like a month ago on first gambit match. I stomped it with randoms. Ended up getting it a few days later with some clan mates, beat it again. I’m pretty sure it’s a hell of a lot harder to do it now with all the ways to melt a boss in 2 seconds. Kinda feel bad for not donating any time to the quest. I’m still on second part.

I was playing on double infamy Friday,I finally got my 1st reset (Was stuck half way through legendary for ages) and finally killed the meatball,in the same match. Did the corrupted, was a nice challenge. Then didn’t play again until the Monday, which I had off work. Somehow, someway,I got a 13 win streak. Got my 2nd reset and malfeasance in one day. Then to top it off I got two-tailed fox from completing a gambit match whilst wearing a full set of armour. #ItWasAgoodDay

Update. I had 2 games left for the weekly. 2nd game I spawned into a match that was 1 and 1, other team had their prime out, our team needed 3 motes. I got them and boom the meatball. Finally killed that thing. The other team clearly let us win though. So thank you to them and thank you to the guy that quit. Lol lottery luck right there
-
Gambit depends on the team you go in with it can either be great fun or totally frustrating
-
I actually got malfeasance like 5 weeks ago Just forgot about it
-
Gambit is broken, primeval can be burnt down in seconds,it's possible to spawn trap invaders,I had multiple single stack games yesterday and enemy team were always way behind but as soon as there primeval spawned it was gone in a about 5-10 seconds,This is going to be standard stuff soon and in need of addressing.
-
I love the gamemode concept it’s just really piss poorly executed. Now nobody in solo Plays for the win their just working on their titles or their quests they don’t give a damn about playing smart and as a team. The mode could be great sadly as it stands it’s a big steamy pile of shit .
-
1 ReplyAfter 2 months of playing gambit, today was the third time I’ve ever seen him I was running solo and of course, I’m up against a 4 stack. I just had a strong feeling he was going to spawn this match because of shit bungie antics Of course, he spawns for the other team while we are still collecting motes. We finally summon it and I invaded at the last second right before they were going to kill it. Wiped the whole team and it’s health was pretty much full again. We ended up winning. I’ve never been so happy playing this game lol
-
2 RepliesI got my malfeasence and I've never played gambit since
-
4 RepliesI love gambit mind you I play with a team and we have a strategy......I feel sorry for the solo players but like seriously join an active clan and go in with a team otherwise continue to be fodder for my team , there are 3 mistakes solo players make every game and I mean EVERY GAME 1.Invade too early 2.When invading going after anyone instead of the people with the most motes 3.Not burning the wizards when prime evil is spawned These are the 3 things that happened time and time and time again I'm telling you stop doing these things and at least my games would be a hell of a lot more fun and interesting
-
Same. Gets soooooo boring
-
It's just like Comp in the sense that matchmaking is done by a team of drunken sadists, and 3-4 stacks only get matched against teams of solos. You really need a team to have a good experience in either Comp or Gambit. If you go in solo you just need to be prepared to get stomped at least 75% of the time. It's also so formulaic now that there's not much strategy to winning. It's just be first to invade and summon, counter the first invasion during Primeval, melt Primeval with Blade Barrage, Chaos Reach, Ikelos and 1K voices. If you can be first to summon, and have the DPS coordination on Primeval then you're going to win the vast majority of the time. That's just not often possible with a group of solos matched against a team.

Im literally done and sick of gambit. I got the malfeasance and my trust, never touching it again unless its for a quest.
