Does class composition matters in group of 3?

Hey! Me and two of my friends have decided that we'll start playing Destiny 2 together, nobody from our group played Destiny 1/2 before. And I want to know if it matters what classes we'll play in our group because none of us wants to play Titan, cause we don't like his playstyle and supers. We'll mainly play PvE and maybe some PvP and our group will be composed of 2 Hunters and Warlock or Hunter and 2 Warlocks, will we have any significant problems without Titan?

 • Seeing as you just started, the supers you will have are limited. If you run two hunters and a warlock, you will have one dawnblade and two arcstaffs. Arcstrider is pretty good for clearing enemies dawnbalde is semi-good for range. You will have one healing rift and if both hunters die, the warlock should be able to revive them easily. If you had a titan, one warlock, and a hunter, You'd be covering every aspect of the game. You don't currently like the playstyle most likely because you just started using the Titan. The more you play with a class the more you'll like it. I'd suggest using each class rather than two of one and one of the other.
