Right so at this blizzcon me and a friend recieved destiny 2 for free as a gift. After playing the game to level 20 where the current level cap is for us i've been literally -blam!-ing shat on by the loot system.
While my friend is running around with legendary armor and weapon in every slot with a power of minimum 200 AND he recieved a random sparrow from the farm vendor "Tess" or whatever shescalled.
In the meantime i've not receieved a single legendary, no sparrow from tess and the 4 epics i've recieved from doing the same amount of work hes done was head chest and 2 weapons of the same weapon slot.
So we've both put the same amount of time in the game. done the exactly the same things in the game playing together the whole time but hes fully kitted with legendarys and riding around on a sparrow and im stuck with blue shit items and running around like a peasant.
What the actual -blam!- is this shit!?

So, your complaining about not having a sparrow or legendaries when you haven't even completed the red war campaign that apon completions gives you a free sparrow on the follow up quests along side several engrams for tess to decrypt, and a free exotic engram. Completion of that also unlocks several weekly legendary gear rewarding milestones. Oh, and there are a few other sources of legendary loot that you can farm. Planetary Materials from activities on planets (55 per reward) (550 to unlock all items on the vendor) Vanguard tokens from strikes (20 per reward) (Gives you gear with forsaken stats) Crucible tokens from Crucible, aka pvp (20 per reward) (Also gives you gear with forsaken stats) Gunsmith materials from dismantling epic+ gear (100 per reward) (Gives you weapons with forsaken stats) ... So ... um ... yeah ... rng has no screwed you ... also ... blue gear soft caps at 255 at lvl 20

3 RepliesYes the RNG in this game is horribly over used to extend play time. It appeals to people with the soul of the gambler (but they will tell you it’s because they are REAL destiny players). I would say you might want to give it some time so you can learn who is who and what is what because it is a big complicated game and you may enjoy it more once you learn more about it.

2 RepliesIt's because they don't have much content and admitted making new content is too hard so they pad it out.
-
Random isn't unfair. It's just random.
-
welcome to destiny lol where not everything is handed out on a silver platter!
-
Isn’t this called communism?
-
RNG is a cruel mistress. She hates me too. I feel your pain. Just FYI, it doesn’t get better......much
-
You know you can buy legendary gear right
-
It’s all random man. So he got lucky and you didn’t . Keep playing eventually you’ll get something good
-
4 RepliesWelcome to the real world where you don't get the same as everyone else all the time.
-
One learn how to spell and two you don’t have to swear to get your point across and another thing the loot in destiny 2 is a lot more easy to get then the first destiny but I guess a gamer on a pc wouldn’t know that
-
2 Replieseven once u get all legendaries, you will have to replace your legendaries with blues constantly anyway, because the upgrade costs are obscenely high if youre a new player
-
3 RepliesPlease just watch this, it'll show you how you get a sparrow. Sparrow isnt RNG, its a guaranteed drop https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzTRfsXFkJ8

4 RepliesEdited by Bieltan: 11/4/2018 7:10:06 PMSounds like an experience one of my friends had whilst levelling in Forsaken. He did get two 1k voices on consecutive raid clears though, whilst I've had 12 chest openings with no joy. It usually balances out in the end. Try not to be so jealous.

9 RepliesYou can go buy a sparrow from Amanda Holliday in the tower whenever you want, & doing your milestones will guarantee you legendary gear.
-
4 RepliesListen m8. If you want legionaries then just do your milestones and level up your factions ez legendaries
-
6 RepliesYou can rock blue armor until max level or even at max in the base game. They were purely cosmetic in Year 1. Don't think it's such a burden, they'll come so much you'll start piling up the Legendary Shards. There will be days where you and your friend's luck switch. You have a loooong way to go if you think that RNG is bad.
