Something like bounties that Banshee-44 could offer, akin to the enhancement cores we now recieve by doing Spider's Wanted bounties.

21 RepliesYou have two chars at 599, by this point you should be drowning in mods and should not even need mod components Dismantling Banshee Weapons will give you Mods on a regular Basis. When i`m over 1000 weapon mats I buy 5 weapons and on avergae one will net a mod.

We have ways to boost glimmer earnings. Why not have him sell them high cost. Then we can farm the glimmer back up.
-
1 ReplyHow about 1 component per Gunsmith engram instead of crappy blue shaders?
-
No. Play Bungle's way. Who cares if the entire economy is BAF? They know... They don't care. Grind, grind, grind. You're a hampster running on Bungie's broken ass wheel. Quit or get over it - Bungie isn't fixing shit.
-
Grab some blue shotguns from collection and break them down! You get one mod in 10 dismantles and it’s the only reliable way I have found.
-
Agreed, there definitely needs to be some reliable way to earn mod components.
-
-
31 RepliesYup. As it is, it will literally be about 2-3 months before I can purchase one single additional mod from Banshee. Why are they so insistent on making it so difficult to play the game the way you want to?
-
Buy blues, than dismantle them.
-
Amen!!
-
1 ReplyThese would be good rewards for the old Test Weapons from D1.
-
2 RepliesWeapon Telemetries. I suggested a lil while back that we could implement weapon telemetries as a currency to buy mods or mod components. Making telemetries actually useful, and actually able to be acquired just through playing whatever activity you choose. Plus, the boon for extra telemetry drops would become a valuable thing, along with using a ghost for telemetries as well.
-
I cleaned out my old items in the vault and i breakdown enough edge transits that i dont have to worry about mod components.
-
Agree, it’s like the currency that was left behind. Also what is the point of the Telemetry pieces anymore either? It takes so many to make any progress.
-
Yea sure, it’s called the RNG quest , like every other friggin thing in this game.
-
Maybe stick a couple on Spider's daily bounties? Since glimmer is so magnificently useless, they are the only bounties in the game I never, ever do.
-
I agree it'd be nice to have a way to reliably earn mod components even if only 10 a week. As it is now I play quite often and it takes me 2-3 weeks to get enough mod components to buy one mod without dismantling my decent mods. If we could earn atleast even 1 extra mod a week we could test out a lot more optuons and it would give us more to do.
-
1 ReplyGreat idea, but then you'd build the builds you want, and that would mean you AREN'T playing the way they want
-
4 RepliesI’ve been a day 1 D2 player and any time I would hit max glimmer I would buy my way to empty on nothing but random blue mods. Then I would trade them in for legendary mods. I then stashed them in my vault. By the time Forsaken dropped I dismantled everything and had over 1,100 mod components. Even with my hoard I agree that mod components should be easier to come by.
-
I fear that scarcity of components is only part of the problem. The other part of the problem is the scarcity of the actual mods. At any given point and time, only two components are available. Last night, before I logged off, I had the option to either buy the fantastic Mobility mod, or the equally fantastic Backup Mag mod. (Both of these suck) I have yet to be able to buy any Ordnance mods. Everything in the entire game should not be tied to RNG. Random drops of components paired with randomly chosen mods from Banshee, makes for a terrible min/max process.
-
1 ReplyAgreed. I've posted on this before and would like to see this happen. The Division suffered during the great loot scarcity of its initial year. Then they threw gobs of materials, equipment, and mods at players, and the game was ridiculously fun. Destiny at least needs a clear path for earning mod components, not just an anemic RNG. I like a lot of the ideas in this thread: - Purchase mod component parts for 5000/piece from Banshee. - Trade Weapon Telemetries for mod component parts (10 telemetries/part?). - Quests or Test Weapons for mod component parts or mods.

3 RepliesEdited by Cinderchar: 11/4/2018 10:28:02 PMWhy would you need more than a couple mod components? It won’t be meaningful if you have more than 1. Imagine the decision you would have to make. It would really be a special one.
-
1 ReplyMan I hope Cozmo reads this. So he can start working on it.
-
They will be right on that, I'm sure. It will roll out shortly after they Release Mods 3.0, which won't use Components at all. It will be something else we don't have and can't get except through RNG.
-
1 ReplyYes. This is a must. I have different sets of armor I like using for different types of game play.

6 RepliesI was wondering when this was going to be brought up
