Niflheim Frost Scout Rifle?
I've probably farmed resonate stems for close to 30 hours, I get one Braytech schematic everyday and I can't find the scout rifle for the life of me. It's the last thing I need for the Wayfarer title.
Does anyone have any tips or tricks for finding these Braytech weapons? I have already done Nascent Dawn 1/5 on all three characters so I've gotten the "freebie schematics" already.
I'm testing a theory that the rewards are time gated (ex: sidearm always drops in afternoon times, sniper always in early morning times) and so far it's been mostly consistent, but that might just be RNG playing a trick on me.
Any help finding this fun would be greatly appreciated, would like to stop farming Mars on this broken system and go do some Forsaken activities.
Btw, also it will NOT give me my 40th sleeper node. Been at 39/40 for probably close to 200 nodes opened now, also very frustrating.

1 ReplyIt was the only stems weapon I didn’t have. When I still needed it I had already gone through about 400 stems. It took another 400 stems to get it. In the end I did the ‘one schematic per day’ where if you get a schematic for a weapon, you don’t try again anymore until the next day. Once I tired that, I got it the next day. Actually quite fun to use in crucible too.

3 RepliesThere is a rumor going around that having the braytech guns you have in your inventory reduces the likelihood of duplicates. Like you need to take them out of the vault or collections amd carry them with you.

Got it. To get for wayfarer is worth it. The gun is bad. Use the S2 Iron Banner Version. Just get the engrams.

This is the exact same boat I'm in, except I need that scout rifle AND the frigid jackal sniper rifle. It sucks hard right now.

Dont worry, i still need the winter wolf and im at 37 of 40. What ive seen and heard is only new sleeper nodes will unlock new braytech schematics. Ive burned through about 400 resonate stems in the last month. Only have gotten 5 new ones. So at this rate it will be the only thing in the way of my wayfarer title.

I've gotten 3 meanwhile I can't get 18 kelvins or the auto for the dang RNG seal. It's ridiculous. Make it skill based on x amount of nodes found and make it smart loot, not same dupes and 600 hours later.

Really the only thing I've gotten is the scout. It hurts the ar looks cool and seems to have a solid roll

3 RepliesThey aren’t time gated, you are correct that it’s coincidence. When I hopped back on Destiny 2, I saw the Braytech Winter Wolf and wanted it so badly. I started grinding for schematics every day, and did probably 240-250... I got the Nilfheim Frost within the first 5 nodes. Then got the sniper within 20 more. I then continued to get drops every 30-40 nodes. I got the scout, sniper, scout, sidearm, sniper, sidearm, and then finally the auto rifle. Takes time :/ gotta be lucky. Felt so good to get the auto rifle finally!!

The only one I don’t have is the auto. It’s one of the few things holding me back from wayfarer.

For the nodes, I used my resonate stems in the tower and it seemed to help me get nodes for locations I didn't have. Not sure about the weapons.

It’s the same garbage RNG as everything else. You just have to get lucky when you scratch your ticket. Well it’s RNG to get a schematic too so you have to get double lucky. It sucks. I expressed my dissatisfaction with it when Warmind dropped and it only foretold the crappy state of Destiny: the space magic slot machine we have today.
