They are garbage since the patch. They pass straight through people.

Grenades and Horseshoes would remedy this issue to an extent honestly.

Edited by ELRaSun: 11/4/2018 9:59:35 PMRocket launchers in-general are garbage in D2 as a whole, from beginning to now. They essentially took what was a “good” rocket launcher in D1, and split it in half. So you either get power (fat launcher) Or you get tracking (skinny launcher) And now neither one is That exciting. The two tailed fox is beastly. But, so slow it’s not worth the exotic slot. Wardcliff Coil is the only “great” launcher, and it’s damage and ammo economy was nerfed. So. Yeah. Pretty safe to say, in D2, Tracking probably sucks on purpose. Again it’s a case of PvP ruining it for PvE. But we should have seen this coming when Bungie senselessly nerfed Truth at the tail end of D1’s life cycle. One of the most uncalled for nerfs in the franchise history. It actually was one of the most balanced exotics. Not crazy on damage like Gjallarhorn, and not as versatile as a tracking launcher with clusters. But, right in the middle. Reliable, with a great ammo economy.

1 ReplyI miss the Truth rocket launcher. That rocket would circle the planet looking for the target you had locked in.
Wtf has happened to tracking rockets.
They suck now. You know why? Because they want us to whine and complain about rocket lauchers for a few months, at which point they'll fix it by making it how it used to be, and tell us how they listen to the players :P
-
1 ReplyBungie couldn’t handle the Truth!
-
Real tracking means Bungle can’t laugh when you fire limited heavy ammo and the baddie just leans slightly to the left or right and the rocket misses. That’s why Truth is gone.
-
Tracking module is bad but pre forsaken tracking rocket launchers seem to be better with there tracking.
-
I thought I was alone...
-
Tracking should be same as it was in d1. I’m not saying truth level u turns but I don’t want someone jumping to effortlessly dodge a rocket either. Rockets already have inferior ammo capacity and minuscule damage difference to compare with similar alternatives.

Lmao i know

you didn't keep yours?

32 RepliesEdited by TheShadow-cali: 11/2/2018 10:09:40 PMI have only gotten 2 since D2 released, the exotic Wardcliff coil and Zenobia-D the is legendary. I keep getting Zenobia-D over and over and over and over and over again. Did they even make any other rockets besides the exotics that have tracking? As far as tracking goes, yes, they reduced the tracking that it's more than obvious. Not only does it pass through people, but it also does the same thing with certain bosses, It's not just tracking either that goes through enemies. Using Thundercrash that same thing happens at times using your supper to hit a boss. Anyways, I've noticed when it comes to using the tracking rockets that there is a delay at times that it won't allow you to launch a rocket that you have to pull the trigger twice and by then you are usually dead especially in PvP. I get way the tracking was reduced, but the delay in launching a rocket needs to be removed. That to me is a cheap mechanic. It leaves you standing there looking like an idiot.

You should know how it goes by now. When Bungie buffs something, another thing gets nerfed on accident. It's been happening since the Suros nerf in D1.
-
1 ReplyI’ve witnessed my tracking rockets swerve around a primeval envoy that was stationary earlier on today
-
Lol I thought I was going crazy yesterday. Had same problem with my bad omens
-
Nothing in Destiny 2 will make sense, don’t try...
-
1 ReplyI wonder if rocket velocity impedes tracking.
-
3 RepliesHave you tried throwing money at the screen?

2 RepliesAgreed. Rockets are pretty crap imo. I hardly use them and have yet to get a tracking, cluster bomb roll. I've looted ton of launchers too except the exotic of course. They just don't do it for me. I think launchers need some fixes.
-
29 RepliesRemember when we could shoot more than one rocket before reloading? Good ol days, lol.
-
I’ve actually been feeling like my Bad Omens has been tracking better tbh
-
6 RepliesThey're missing the perk that made them good in the first place, regardless of whether they had tracking: proxy detonation. Unless they get that back, most rockets besides ones with insane blast radii and cluster won't be worth using. Don't worry though. LMGs are on their way back in, so we'll have another brainless streak weapon in the Heavy slot that's not Colony, Tractor, Wardcliff, or Sleeper soon.
-
6 RepliesTracking rockets have always sucked, except Truth and Ghally. That is why grenades and horseshoes was such a desired perk.
-
1 ReplyRemember when rocket launchers were awesome, before PvP crybabies and Bungie ruined them?
-
3 RepliesRocket launchers in D2 are a joke compared to D1. Then again that could be said about a lot of things.
