If you dont know tje basics of gambit, dont play.

Read the title. It's literally as simple as looking for up a video or just listening to the damn game when it tells you to bank. Don't hold onto 15 motes in the middle of a pack of enemies alone cause you got greedy, don't try to kill a group of enemies alone in the first place. Edit: I was mad before and didn't think to include tips, so here they are. 1. Grab motes, check and see if your teamates are one or two off a blocker and let them pick them up if you don't need them. Banking 15 motes doesn't help as much as you may think so try to bank small and often. 2. Keep track of the enemy invasion portal. Every 25 motes a team deposits, they can invade you. There will be a small symbol above their mote bar if they can invade. If you have motes for a blocker of any sort, bank them ASAP to prevent them from blocking, then invading as a combo. 3. Don't invade if the enemy team have no motes. It will be more of a waste to your team than the enemy team. 4. Don't invade the second the enemy primevil is up, wait a little bit or until they begin their damage and then invade. 5. Try to use meta weapons, self explanatory really. 6. Don't push an enemy wave alone unless you have a super but even then be cautious. If you have something like insurmountable skullfort however, you can chance it if you're confident and know when to back off if necessary. 7. Finally, please for the love of God don't invade with motes. Also if the drifter tells you to bank for a primevil you should do so immediately, do not try for a large blocker, if the enemy invades or you die, you will hold your team back and even if you get the blocker, you've sacrificed precious time. I seem to have missed the most important rule of gambit, it's ok cause it's quite simple you see. 8. When in doubt, lose the round. It's ok, Bungie want to throw away skill for no reason and will actively help you win the next round for free and with little effort required!

    • Avoid Gambit bounties. They encourage selfish play.

I only go in to gambit to get my weekly done and I only ever go in and shoot hostiles. Don’t invade, ignore motes, and hide from invaders. Some dude got really salty about it and spammed me with friend requests on bnet, presumably so he could rage at me. I don’t blame you for being angry about it though. Unfortunately I don’t care about winning, losing, or even doing well. I’m just doing my weeklies until my three characters are 600 and that just means staying until the very end. If it makes you feel better though, once my three characters are at 600 power level, I’m never stepping foot in to gambit or crucible again.

        • 6. Don't push an enemy wave alone unless you have a super but even then be cautious. Not sure I 100% agree with this. As a striker titan running Insurmountable Skullfort I've cleared many a wave all by my lonesome.

          • There's not much you can do about randoms, because they'll do whatever they want. Just try to do what you can and have fun.

              • If you would be less salty and actually teach people you’d be helpful instead of a crying toddler. Just a thought.
