The character screens were slow before Forsaken but after Forsaken they are shockingly worse, it seems an eternity just to load the inventory screen as well as all the other screens. Can you please try to speed these up as when you are in battle and wish to use a different weapon, you can quite easily die while waiting for the screen to load.

This is what i do. Whenever a screen loads i get up use the bathroom, play with my son, kiss my wife, get something to drink, check out whats on the tv, look at my phone. Take your pick, whenever the screen loads.

Pretty quick on the one X. Slower in battles though.

5 RepliesI have an X1X and most of my friends I play with have an X1. It’s painful to play strikes with them because I load in and have to wait 2-3 minutes to get into the game. Bungie needs to fix when someone’s loading in the people in game already don’t suffer. Oh you want to get behind that door? Too bad wait for so and so to get in before you have access. No enemies? You have to wait for so and so to load in.

Known issue for 4 years.

1 ReplyYou come from destiny one? cuz they were just as shitty

EVERYTHING is slow in the game on console, well at least for me. I even thought about buying a new PS4 or a pro because I wasn’t sure if it was my ageing console. To be honest, it’s so bad that it impacts on the playability of the game for me. Is it really like this for everyone?!

5 RepliesOK I feel stupider for having read this thread. No one here can justify why I can load into the tower instantly but my menu takes a week to load. Why Bungle Why?
-
1 ReplyTo convince us for buying ps5. Lol. On serious note, it could be because current gen consoles have shared RAM for cpu and gpu which is 8GB for both cup and gpu workloads.

5 RepliesThis, and also, does this have anything to do with why suddenly my screen can freeze up because it needs to load the next zone? I can't recall that ever happening in D1 or D2 until Forsaken.
-
5 RepliesI get jealous every time i see a pc player loading his inventory because its so quick but i feel it has go worse since forsaken on ps4. and while bunjie are fixing those screens maybe the can fix the actual loading screens as well.
-
Not just the character screen. Loading in general takes a lot longer than it used to. Still not as slow as D1 loading though. That's probably the most annoying part when I load up D1. The difference is quite noticeable. They really should Xbox One X enhance Destiny 1.

1 ReplyAs well as flying into a game takes a long time. Bungie’s performance measure (and therefore money) is based on time played so anything to increase their stats they will implement
-
It really is outrageously slow. Like, Skyrim at launch-slow.
-
God yes. So so slooooooow

4 RepliesIt's just a bit faster if you have the CD and not the downloaded version....not by much tho.

It annoys me when I try to switch guns in pvp (i.e. HC -> Shotty) and the loading screen is just slow enough so I don’t get the special ammo on spawn
-
is not even slow, my screen literally wont load at all till i back out and open it again at least 1 minute later
-
Agreed, the UI is very laggy and slow

1 ReplyEdited by whiteLI0N: 11/3/2018 1:50:03 PMPulling up my character screen to stare at a black screen for 10 seconds.... hover over weapon to see stats and wait for 6 more seconds till the window with stats pops up.... not to mention the impressively long load times in your ship, or getting 5-15 seconds of hang-time at loading areas between zones. Its impressively bad. My personal favorite is when you fast travel to a buddy doing a public event, and load in to spectate a spectral image of your friend doing the public event while you just sit there waiting.

"Its a known issue.....blah blah blah blah." -standard response from bungie

11 RepliesPs4 pro, way to go

My PC doesnt have this issue? Are you on console? If so, that would be why.
