I have over 200 cores now when you hit 600 you dont really need them and they start to stack up also cores from breaking items down and getting scrapper bounty's is very common now got 8 cores in about 2 hours tonight just from that! I said a few weeks back increasing sources was not needed!! removing or reducing them for general infusion and leaving the masterwork amount of cores the same and things would of been fine... What has happened now is I can if I want just infuse everything and masterwork everything without a second thought!! they only thing Bungie has done is add more grinds to an already grindy experience.... Also a reddit user has posted numbers for armour and its less than 0.5% total resistance improvement so no point in masterworking armour as you dont get orb generation or anything like that.
