Malfeasance quest is a grind and a half.
So just completed the corrupted mission and when I got the next part I was in shock. Considering I don’t have anyone that plays regularly that’s good at gambit and most the time the teams I play with are too busy dying and not banking, I wasn’t too eager to do this part of the quest. When I looked up a video for the next part I almost decided to just not do the rest of the quest entirely, I’ve killed a full squad about 4 or 5 times while invading, usually only happens when their team is straight doo doo, and the chances of you getting paired with a team that can do that with ease is slim for obvious reasons. Guess it’s all worth it in the end though considering the buff to the weapon.

Use LFG. No point to not squad up. As for the invasions, if you're a decent invader, it'll happen. If you wanna go real try hard for it, use a good bygones and sleeper or crooked fang. Even throw in a sniper for good measure. 3 weapons that can map people in gambit and you'll be fine.

I’m nearly to the army of one/25 kills portion myself. I’m currently working on the ten wins and I hit 7/10. The army of one portion is what concerns me the most. I wish it retroactively counted the times I’ve already managed to pull it off! I’m also a bit annoyed by the quest, prior to this I never put more than the bare minimum effort in to gambit because I just wanted my weekly done. For this quest though I actually have to put in effort and try. 😑

I had the green booger spawn my 2nd match of Gambit. I got super lucky with this. I had the quest completed within 3 days probably.

You have already finished the hard part. Might seem like a lot still to do, but honestly it goes by pretty quick even for a solo player.

It took me about 5 hours total from the time I got the quest. Maybe 10 total Gambit matches. I know someone who spent 10 hours alone just trying to get the 4 kills in 1 invasion. After he told me he was using Nova Bomb, I called him something not nice and told him to switch to Nova Warp. 2 invasions later he was done. Dont overthink it. Bank motes often, but try not to rob your team of blockers. For the invasions, I refused to use Sleeper, I got all mine with a Go Figure and shotgun in 3 matches. The team wipe, well good luck. Its tougher than it was in the beginning, but still doable. I used tether and a rocket. After 4 matches of 3 here 2 there, I got a lucky break when all 4 players were sitting in a Well of Radiance.

Idk, nothing seems like a grind after the Redrix Broadsword mission. Hundreds of pvp kill objectives, almost 100 play x games of y objectives, and then 10,000 valor points... Now that was a grind...

It actually goes quite quickly. I finally got around to doing the story mission on Monday. I've played a fair bit of Gambit this week due to the bonus Infamy, but I got through the wins and motes step by Tuesday and finished the kills Wednesday. Maybe I had some good luck with teammates but randoms banged out the three Army of Ones before I could get one and it's not like I wasn't trying. Got to take my Malfeasance out for a spin for the first time yesterday. It's pretty decent. It'll clear blockers very quickly and puts invaders down fast.

4 Repliesthe quest is simple the hardest part was the corrupted mission. when you get motes and wins - bank motes quickly, effectively, OFTEN. have 4 bank. have 7 bank. have 13 bank. Bank Bank Bank. don't take a chance as for wins - I will message you personally. when it comes to invader/invasion kills - you only have to do Army of One once - or have a teammate do it 3 times over. does not have to be the same match. and kill 25 can be done when they invade (slow) or cross over (quicker, if you are good at it).

Edited by fatboyslimmed: 11/2/2018 10:24:02 PMIt’s not as bad as you’d think. I managed to wipe the enemy team without too much difficulty, and I’m barely an average player. I really didn’t think I’d ever get it done, which kind of took the pressure off, and then it just happened. Hang in there and try to have fun with the quest. Managing to pull off a team wipe was such a great and unexpected moment. It’s one of those feelings that reminds us of what makes this game so great.

1 Replyhaving just done it, the worst part was getting 10 wins as I did it solo, just kept banking 5 motes at a time, the amount of times someone wearing a mask would lose 10+ motes being greedy, for those games I'd just sit back and reap the free double points to rank up infamy

4 RepliesYou'll get it! The meatball just spawned for me two days ago and I just picked up my malfeasance last night. Seeing the ten wins requirement was discouraging at first because I grinded it out solo. But it just takes patience.

Wish ender, for those pesky taken pluse it dose really good damage on any enemy. Distant Relations, for those pesky guardians, and awesome invasions. A Rocket launcher with cluster to do extra damage to bosses Use your super to get a upper hand on prime bosses and invaders. Bank as much as you can but be aware of lossing those motes because its 2x the lose if you lose them. If you have battle.net deatiny you can send me a friend request and ill help you out

I just got to the last phase. And while my clanmate has killed 25+ Guardians in one match, I'm not going to have it done anywhere near that quick.

Destiny is more fun when you just play the game and let things happen instead of grinding a specific activity over and over until you hate your life...just a piece of friendly advice
