6 RepliesOne major complaint in D1 was the lag in matches, therefore the solution Bungie chose was to make it so every single person was in the same playlist, meaning that you can gather better connections from the larger pool of possible guardians. It may result in longer load times but it should give better connections in the matches, at least in theory. While I don’t like the change I get why they did it.

5 RepliesBecause then the queues would always be empty
-
I agree. Forcing us to play what they want is just ridiculous in a shooter. I’ve never heard of that before. Sure, the queue times for certain game modes will be longer, but that’s a price I’m willing to take. And if anything, if a mode takes forever to find people, that’s more of the game mode’s problem than mine. I shouldn’t be punished to play a mode I hate.
-
Because they want you to play how they want, not you want.
-
Man I love control!! I always play the objectives unless killing an enemy is the difference between life and death... which it most always is!
-
PREACH IT, brother! We need D1 mode choice.
-
Player base numbers are super low. Can't even imagine how much lower PvP player base is.
-
I would choose Clash and Supremacy all day long. Player numbers, and queue times it not a good enough excuse. Bungie need to stop caring if a game mode gets neglected, and queue times regularly fluctuate throughout the day.

7 RepliesWait times would be too long for most playlists
-
3 RepliesWhy not set up a voting system like in COD? Sure the pre-game would take longer, but at least the opinion of the majority would matter. That way the only time RNG is involved is on a stone cold tie.

more importantly
KING OF THE HILL IS NOW ON HULU!!!
1 Replybungie doesn't want you waiting in orbit for too long, so they just throw teams together as quickly as possible completely disregarding connections and skill... nvm thats just a bug that isn't ever getting fixed apparently. but their goal is to decrease your time in queues.
-
Because, Bungie are in control!
-
You hate control. I hate clash. It's bad game design that a developer forces people to play modes they don't like.
-
calm down man, bungie banned me for asking this question

Edited by canflipper: 11/1/2018 2:42:32 PMBungie took it away with D2 among with many other imbecile decisions. Today what i have seen many people saying is that there isnt enough people playing crucible (because it sucks ass mostly ) so giving the choice to players choose whatever mode will split the pool of players and queue times will be crazy. Ironic enough the reaons of why crucible sucks and people play less and less are things like no mode selections, no SBMM . But bungie wont implement the those solutions (amongnst others) that will indeed bring more people in the first place. Its just bungie being stupid as always. At least crucible team. The whole pve aspect has improved a lot indeed. edit: typo

7 RepliesEdited by AlamoCity: 11/1/2018 3:10:37 PMBecause the playerbase has dwindled since Curse of Osiris. There aren't enough people playing to make matchmaking times short for individual game modes. Plus, many are playing Red Dead Redemption 2.........a great game with an open world you can actually explore.
-
3 RepliesIf you could choose, then you will be playing your way, not Bungie's way. What are you thinking?
-
4 RepliesAt least control is balanced. More so than anything else. Iron Banner excluded.
-
The player base is too small.
-
In comp the same shit
-
Idk, because this games pvp is trash?
-
They do it so playlist don't go unpopulated. They want you to play whatever the dices tells you to. I don't agree with it one bit, it turns out into a stressing game for everyone involved. Suppremasy was a really loathed one so they took it out of qp and had it in the weekly rotation. I dontbthink too many play that one.
-
Because reasons. Reasons = Bungie Logic Bungie Logic = ????? ????? = And there you have it. Simple right?
-
2 RepliesBungie's been like this since Halo days. It's what I always hated. Never knew what you were going to be playing. I understand why they do it but don't agree with it. At least give us some choices.
