Could we get an exotic for Way of the Outlaw?

With the PvE damage buff that came in Forsaken, Way of the Outlaw’s Golden Gun [i]finally[/i] feels useful. I can actually take out a yellow bar shielded enemy with one shot and move on, instead of three. Even though that’s very nice, I still feel like it could use some help in PvE to help kill more than 6 enemies when other ad clearing supers do triple that. Just not through a direct buff, but with an exotic. Maybe they could reintroduce Achlyophage Symbiote. They could change its perk to “Landing 4 consecutive shots with Golden Gun will grant 2 extra shots and extend its duration” or something like that. That way, it wouldn’t make GG any better in PvP (unless you’re an absolute Crucible god, I suppose). So, if you land all of your shots, you could have 10 total shots instead of 6. Maybe the duration would go up by 3 seconds each time? That would make it pretty potent, and even help with its horrible boss DPS. Just an idea I had to help the super in PvE a bit, but not a free pass to make it overpowered. Thoughts, anyone? EDIT: Top of trending. Neat. Maybe this will get some attention from Bungie after all. EDIT 2: Seeing lots of people discussing combustion. While I would like this, I worry that they would make the radius and damage [b]way[/b] too small to prevent GG from being any better in PvP. EDIT 3: I’m loving some of the ideas I’m seeing.

  • Real opinion here. Super exotics like ursa, galanor and all the super cool down reducing supers are shitty exotics. Instead of bungie making actual exotics that change how we interact with our abilities they give us exotics that I consider "copouts". Obviously getting your super back faster is going to be better than most other exotics, and if they actually did, by some stroke of genius, make some really interesting exotics they could not compare to ursa giving you your super backing instantly. Or galanor doing the same thing. When I think of exotic items I'd think about changing the abilities themselves, or how the players interact with them. Not just giving use more uses. Whenever I see them add more like this it just lets me know that they don't expect to make more exotics for the classes directly because they already know they can't compete and people will just complain about them not being as good as galanor or a similar exotic. Unless of course they make the super really -blam!-ing strong but that is pretty much the same -blam!-ing problem. Overload something with direct strength and kill off all indirect potential. Exotics used to be cooler than this shit we have now.
