There are some great characters in D2. Failsafe's unhinged duality is often quite funny. Asher's curmudgeonly old warlock is awesome, and there's a hint of tragedy to him as well: he is, after all, doomed. Osiris and Sagira make a superb pair. Most Guardian/Ghost duos, one partner speaks, other is silent. These two are a team. The vendor characters are a wide variety: Devrim's wry charm, Sloane is businesslike if a bit dull, Vance is good comic relief, Ana has a can-do attitude, and Spider is Don Corleone with four arms. And while Vuvuzela is still a blue headed bald nob, Ikora has grown on me... still inscrutable, but flawed. And a total boss when her blood is up. And yes, Ghost is a bit neurotic, but he's what Bungie thought the players wanted.

Yeah I hope we get to have more dialogue from her in the future.

My favorite quote from her is during the Inverted Spire when Ghost asks why the Cabal didn't get trapped liked Cayde did: "Calculating Red Legion similarity to the Cayde-6: .0001% Plus, you know, Caydes dumb." And the other is during the same strike when you defeat the Vex mind: Failsafe: "So… Cabal scientists can take a punch, but they’re not very smart. I guess they cracked open the planet and that Mind cam crawling out?" Ghost: "Golden Age computer core and that’s all she came up with? I could’ve said that." Failsafe: " If you’d like my insight, I’ve filed an after-action report complete with four hundred and thirty-three tactical notes. I win."
