2 RepliesDon't believe you.

13 RepliesYou’re 572 but your bond and helmet are 551 and 557, so the game will give you something super low especially if it’s something you don’t need ex. A primary since it’s 600
-
1 Replyi'm guessing it wasnt! you probably got multiple rewards and looked at the wrong one! ive sunk 100's of hours into forsaken and never had a drop lower than my level.

1 ReplyNever seen that, dont believe that happens 👍

Video, or picture proof. Preferably video when it dropped. To my understanding of how the current power grind works, engrams from a low level event such as Flashpoints, should give 1+ to your overall power; in no way being as underpowered as you say. Even if you had the Horror Story, that would at the very least significantly increase the drop of something of that caliber; not a completely backwards drop as you got.
are you sure you didnt have a normal engram waiting for you from tokens/shards? Along with the flashpoint engram, and got confused?
11 RepliesIt's because that horror story is making your light look better than it actually is. Most of your stuff is on the 550s thus you deserve 550ish gear.
-
2 Replies20 below your average power level or 20 below on the item into which slot the drop would be loaded? The drops for powerful engrams will only be 1 or 2 ticks above your current highest average power level. Ex: You have a 600 power kinetic equipped but your overall power level is 590. You complete an event for a powerful reward and get a 591 kinetic weapon. Yes, that is how the game works. You only go up if you are replacing a lower power level item. Unfortunately the rewards system is random and you can't pick/choose what type of item drops. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it does not.

1 Reply573 character means that the weekly on that character isn't going to give you any boost if at all. Maybe next time read into what is the most promising gear. Also you didn't even tell people what you got and what level it was. I'm guessing general vagueness makes your sob story more believable

5 RepliesEdited by name: 10/29/2018 8:43:36 AMthis is why i quit , after over a month doing everyday powerful engrams story strikes crucible gambit etc. mostly old y1 content and pvp in hopes to unlock nightfall or maybe even a raid i stopped , made it to level 535 and was already burned our from being forced doing crap modes i hate (crucible gambit ) and getting rewards below my level destiny2 sucks even more now that it did at launch and that says alot, the light level is not even good for anything other than locking you out from actvities and making your current gear useless
-
1 ReplyMe too. But to be fair, I was double dipping because my character already did it at reseat and then it popped up again yesterday. Only on one character, which is weird.

5 RepliesI have yet to come across this problem.

You most likely got a powerful items and a non powerful item and are confused thinking the non powerful was your powerful drop

Because Bungie doesn’t base your loot on the best price you have. In my opinion I’ve noticed that it seems to drop more closely to your lowest piece of gear. Maybe that’s just my PoV but that’s what it has seemed like when I get my drops. Gone are the days of wearing you max gear so you can get a max drop. Bungie’s brilliant ideas, winning again🙄

Got 1 on each of my characters this week...first one I did so didnt really slow me dow , but disappointment for sure
-
That’s probably a feature slyly implemented to throttle progression and create a false incentive to play.
-
Strange... Thought that was fixed now cuz I barely get any powerful gear that isn't above my top power lvl... Only time I might get gear below it is when the item I get is higher than my max but the item I have equipped is higher. For example my helmet is 599 but my top overall is 95. Got a powerful drop and got a helmet at 97. Technically it's a lower drop but it's also a higher one at the same time.
though asuch as it may be difficult to code, I think it should give you some armour based on you lowest piece. Like if your boots are your lowest then it should give you powerful boots.
Yeah it happens . I did my dreaming city powerful engram and it dropped at 580 . All 3 characters are 600 so it really doesn’t matter but it’s still frustrating
-
happend twice for me too. so annoying. i could have been at least 595 by now
-
Nope that didn't happen.

1 ReplyI noticed twice now that if you do the flashpoint before completing the campaign on a character, and then finish the campaign, it will redisplay the flashpoint as a powerful reward. But if you grind the flashpoint the 2nd time the reward is not powerful at all, even though it goes through the usual mechanics and asks you to go back to Ikora for the reward, etc.
