It's a question that a lot of us have been asking, what happened to all the old planets? Are they still crawling with enemies or what? Well today I'll try my hardest to find out what has been going on with our old stomping grounds
Earth: in just a couple days we're going to find out exactly what happened, but if I had to guess I would assume that the cosmodrome is practically a Ghost town at this point, still reeling from the Siva crisis. The Hive have probably died out due to the lack of leadership and what ever remains of the Fallen are probably bannerless wonders trying to make a living out if what remains
Moon: like I said for earth, the Hive have probably completely broke down after we killed Crota and Oryx. Their temples and monuments have most likely been confiscated by vanguard scouts or looted by the house of exiles. Speaking of the house of exiles their probably having the time of their lives, with the Hive gone and little to no Guardian interference they've probably had a massive boon to their territory as a result of our actions, funny how the most pathetic house has benefited the most from our work
Venus: by the end of Destiny 1 the house of winters was near extinction and as of now very few still remain a member of the house, mostly small bands of Dregs and Vandel's scouring the inner Solar system for shelter. But here's where things get complicated... What happened to the Vex? As of right now I have no idea, both the Hezen collective and the Hezen protective completely failed in their respective tasks so you'd think that the Vex on Venus would be assimilated into another subcategory right? But if that were the case then it would mean the Vex gave up on Venus leaving valuable architecture and wasted energy in the process. So right now I don't have a definitive answer for the Vex
Mars: probably the stupidest strategic choices in the solar system happened in Meridian Bay, the Vex's Virgo prohibition was a failure since day one and if failsafe is to be believed then their STILL AT IT!? SERIOUSLY!? as for the Cabal it's also a bit tricky, you see when the Red Legion came rolling in they decided to assimilate the remaining Cabal legions as to bolster their forces, that's all well and good until you realize that they also took the blind Legion... Which single handily kept the Vex from taking mars before we arrived there... And the Cabal didn't return to mars untill Val Ca'uor came along... And now he's dead! So the Virgo prohibition is tripping over their own feet while mars is almost completely free for the taking! Also a little side note, I'm don't remember where I got this from but I remember being told that the Red Legion also destroyed the gate into the black garden? That's just... God my brain is hurting, on to the next planet!
Dreadnought: most likely a deserted graveyard of dead Hive and forgotten Cabal armor, the Red Legion assimilated the skyburners so it's completely empty now... Untill the next expansion pass! Preorder today!
And that should about do it! This has been a long time coming so some of my information might be a bit outdated, feel free to correct me in the comments and tell me what you think might be going on over on the D1 planets

3 RepliesAll the planets: They're still there. Lore: Once upon a time Bungie made Destiny 2 and didn't put all the original planets back in because they didn't want to.

2 RepliesThis used to be a line from cayde if you stood next to him for a while, but I think he said the red legion utterly dominated Mars or at least the meridian bay.

6 RepliesSo canonically after wiping the biggest nasties from the vault of glass, we left it an empty shell with only scraps of vex still in controll of the place? That's also how I assume it was easily raided by the fallen and the Taken? Probable didn't help we took out Hydra and harpy boss on the planet

4 RepliesThe drifter says that most of the vex in our system have consolidated most of their subtypes

8 RepliesI’m surprised the exiles haven’t wiped themselves out by now.

I think that the house of exiles assimilated into the new house of dusk I know, suprising

4 Replies<Actually, while the Virgo Prohibition may still be at it, the Red Legion pounded Mars harder than Earth. That's how the Garden Gate was destroyed and how Bastion, while already being shot at and damaged, fell entirely. When Ghaul fell, the Legion went into disarray. I don't know much about what happened between then and when Ca'uor took control. I DO know that Ca'uor told the Legion to continue looting Mars... which didn't work out because of the Grasp of Nokris.>
