Bungie, you do not need to fly 1 million miles when a boss slams the ground, especially off the edge when you're not even near the sdge... 20 feet will be enough.

1 ReplyLooking at you EP knights... Don't even get me started on that annoying ass Taken Ogre eye blast.. especially when it stun locks you in place.
-
4 RepliesI just love getting raised by a teammate only to have had the boss walk over in the meantime and slam, and even though my camera hasn't even returned to first person and I can't even move I still get affected and thrown off the OPPOSITE edge of the arena. Not even the side we're right next to. ALL THE WAY OVER THE OTHER SIDE.

1 ReplyStomps are cool. Flying 1320 feet off a map till it says "turn back" then hitting the invisible barrier of the edge of the universe and dying are a bit excessive.
-
2 RepliesThe physics in this game is laughably stupid and janky. Boss does a stomp and their explosive flatulence sends you across the entire map, but when you ram an enmy at top speed with your sparrow they take no damage. Bungie engine logic.
-
Nerf it!
-
While we’re at it can we get rid of taken phalanxes? Those things are annoying as hell
-
2 RepliesMelee immediately before the slams makes contact you won’t be propelled away.
-
5 RepliesYou can melee to negate it you know. Stop llamkng the game for player incompetence. If the mechanic wasn't there people would just be able to walk right up.
-
This is why melee supers are not good st killing bosses.
-
This is one of the worst mechanics in the game.
-
Seriously the distance it sends us is stupid. Just have the attack kill us, don’t send us flying 100 feet into a wall just to have the architects finish us off.
-
Completely agreed, it's pretty ridiculous when they can hit you literally about a quarter mile away. Also it's not just bigger bosses but regular enemies that are barely even bigger than you have cheap moves like this. Bungie almost seems to be trying to annoy the hell out of you when making the enemies more challenging. Just make the guy tougher instead of the lame stomp or teleporting 5 times per second and having almost every enemy able to do those things.
-
1 ReplyI dunno. It makes perfect sense to me. I went over to my sister's place and her 3 cats all ran up to me to rub against my leg. I wasn't watching my strength and stepped too hard. Sent the cats flying into the walls in the room, killing all 3. It was such a mess.
-
2 RepliesThey have to slam or people will literally just EP shotgun everything in the game, and honestly if you were standing at the feet of a thirty foot monolithic embodiment of evil pouring rounds into it...it would probably stomp you out ;)
-
4 RepliesAgreed. Feels like a cheap move to prevent CQ combat and doesn't really add anything at all to the experience. And while they're at it, get rid of invincibility phases. I don't run Meta gear, and don't mind a boss taking a while to kill through attrition, but if my teammates (or me, if the right burn's active and my loadout for the day has a boss-melter in it) want to instakill a boss, just let us. Talking mostly of Strikes here (or some Campaign bosses, e.g. Ghaul) - the rewards are middling at best, and forcing a mid-battle delay just isn't fun. Put the random mechanics (throwing balls at crystals, enemies changing weapons/locations, jumping into bubbles, or just straight-up being invulnerable, whatever) on a timer, rather than a damage percentage, and if players can drop a boss in 10 seconds by stacking supers just let the boss die.
-
IMO I don’t mind cuz you can counter it in MANY ways, to many to name for ex hunter dodge, dawnblade Icarus dash and drop titan charge etc
-
Hahahaha it's the most un intelligent boss mechanic I have ever faced in a game.
-
7 RepliesI can honestly tell you I don’t mind this one bit. Look at it this way. If there was no stomp mechanic, what’s to stop a team of EP Shotties melting everything in their path? The stomp mechanic has a nice risk/reward factor for shotgun runners and melee supers. I laugh every time I get knocked 10-20 feet away from a stomp, not to mention in Gambit if a Phalanx shield hits you at just the right moment after a stomp you rag doll across the map. Good for a few chuckles.

I agree 100% on this. As a hands-on Titan, being kicked like a football is really a big inconvenience, especially because most of not all of the bosses do it.
-
And most of the time what kills me is not the slam, it's bouncing off a wall or something hard. It's exceedingly annoying and BS. Makes any in close weapon like a ShotGun or Sword useless.
-
1 ReplyWhat's even more annoying is the dawnblade healing rift super doesn't even repel it
-
Bungie, you do not need to fly 1 million miles when a boss slams the ground, especially off the edge when you're not even near the sdge... 20 feet will be enough.
ABSOLUTELY AGREE, RIDICULOUS GAME MECHANIC, AREA SHOULD AT LEAST BE SMALLER!
