Rng based one thousand voices
I’m writing as a long time fan of your games. I’ve been playing destiny 2 since day one and I have enjoyed all your game has to offer, but I have done your last wish raid 12 times as of now and have still not gotten the one thousand voices. I know that the drops are randomized and that makes sense for most weapons. There is a thrill when finding a gun that could have the perfect set of perks to suit your needs. But for some weapons such as the one thousand voices, RNG just doesn’t work. I have waited 4 weeks since my first completion being limited to 3 chances per week, while being killed by the gun in gambit from someone who has one completion on their emblem. It’s just not fair. Perhaps adding an increased drop chance per completion, or changing it to a quest like the Legend of Acrius could be a benefit to the community because I know it not the only one who has spent hours raiding only to get the same drops as last time. Thank you for taking time to read this and maybe you could improve the way to receive such a weapon.

I'm at 20 final chests opened without it. I don't even complete the full raid anymore because I have all the curated weapon rolls and all armor for all classes, I just use the wish to get to Riven, cluster bomb her, and pray I get lucky. The thrill of wanting the 1k voices has completely left me, the hype, the excitement. I know I won't get the gun no matter hard I grind, as I can only do it 3 times a week. It's a truly awful way of having a rare drop in a raid, and even more depressing that Bungie could care less about those that don't have it. It's all about RNG to them now.

22 clears, and no 1K, one clan mate got in his 1 and only clear....... doesn't seem fair somehow. If they have a really low drop rate should increase for people with 10 clears, or 20 clears.

Ive opened the chest well over 20 times now (even did week 1) and still havent gotten it. I really hate the Fact that i couldve played with an amazing gun for over 1 month now. But instead I´m forced to continue raiding, while others after their 1st run never touch the raid again. It really should have been tied to a Quest, like the Acrius. I dont understand why Bungie tied them behind RNG. Alot of people I raided with still havent gotten theirs either.

From my experience i have calculated the drop rate as being one in thirteen, so you will likely have it if you are very unlucky after your 26th completion.

2 RepliesI support this. I just got it to drop after 12 completions and 13 keys. I was desperate. My friend got it from burning all his keys at once versus at the end of each run. Not proven method obviously, but try it out. Pretty sure I would of stopped doing the raid if it didn’t drop after this set of runs.

2 RepliesIt’s a 1 in 15 chance. Now, if you’ve done it 30-40 times, then you have my sympathy, but I think what they were trying to create were those “Ghjallahorn moments.” I was kind of disappointed that I got it on my 4th run, because I won’t have that moment, probably not for a couple of years from now (unless BA has a special raid exotic). It may be frustrating, but it’s going to feel a lot more satisfying to have it after, say 15-20 raids than 3-5.

Edited by seeker: 10/26/2018 6:44:28 PMIn gambit I log out if the opposing team is a 4 stack with 1K voices.. they can melt the boss within seconds without a single slayer buff, which is dumb imho.

4 RepliesI will admit rng is a pain and I don’t have that weapon yet, but you obviously did not participate in the d1y1 gjallarhorn struggle. You should be happy it’s only been 4 weeks. And don’t even get me started on how long it took to get the crux of crota. I did a flawless run of crota before I got the crux from it. The rng is more forgiving on d2 despite how annoying it is.

4 RepliesSame here . 13 completions and havent gotten 1000 voices or any other exotic in forsaken. Then my little brother who has EVERY FORSAKEN EXOTIC gets it at his 5th clear. I am seriously thinking of reinstalling the game..because RNG cant be this bad....it must be that my game is bugged. 8 weeks without a single exotic drop.

1 ReplyTotally agree, I opened the final chest 15 times now, always cleared the raid without using the cluster bomb cheese, and I still have to see it. Furthermore, I met a lot of people who just completed the raid once or twice with the rocket launcher and already got it; makes it even more frustrating. I'm ok if I don't drop it in the first 5-6 times that I clear the raid, but it should be a reasonable amount of tries anyway. As you suggested, maybe increasing the drop rate chance by a little bit every time you open the chest and don't get it? That would work perfectly, since at a certain point I'm sure I would be able to get it and I wouldn't have to bet my odds on something completely RNG every time.
