Well, thank God it's only that way for video games! Seriously though, could you imagine going to a restaurant to eat and paying full price for your meal, only to receive half of what you ordered? According to what you posted, we'd be whiney, entitled (love how often this word gets thrown around now) little brats for even mentioning getting what we payed for. All the while, the other customers at said restaurant, who received most, if not all, of what they paid for begin to insult and ridicule you for speaking out. After that they all simply tell you to go away, because driving consumers away is definitely a great business practice! Glad I don't apply this mentality to my own small busines, or I would've been on the streets years ago. Yep, thank God it's only that way for video games!

  • That’s a terrible analogy because video games aren’t a restaurant. It’s not buy one, get everything. You have to earn/work towards some of the shit, or else nothing in the game is special. The content is still available: you don’t have to pay extra for it, it is in the game, just so far you have not gotten it. Simply because it exists in a game that you purchased does not entitle you to it.

  • yep...what they don't realize is that what they're saying is they are entitled to all the money, property, and hotels in the monopoly board game when they sit down and begin the game just because they paid for it...that's not how the game was designed to work

  • Actually, it's not. Maybe to people like you, where you apparently think that a person should earn money, spend said money on a product, only to work a second job trying to enjoy and get the most out of said product. I don't buy a new car just to take it home and start fixing it so I can actually enjoy it. I don't buy a meal just so I can wash dishes before I actually enjoy it. The only exception to this that I've made throughout my 40 years of life is with Legos. I bought them knowing full well that I would have to assemble them. And guess what? None of those things have a hidden slot machine that determines whether I enjoy the product or not. So again, thank God this only for video games!
