I'm currently between jobs with a couple months to kill so I've been grinding like crazy putting in 14+ hours of gameplay every day. Since Forsaken launched i have received roughly 20 exotic engram drops in the wild.
9 Otherside sparrows
Shards of Galanor
Numerous year 1 items
Ace of Spades.
The Ace of Spades was the real slap in the face here, come on really a questline exotic in the engram loot pool?
Now just yesterday my clan mate who plays a couple hours per week, joins in on some EP, a new to destiny player. Within 30 minutes at EP gets 2 exotics to drop (Queenbreaker and Orpheus Rig) plus the EP sniper. Meanwhile I'm almost 90 EP completions in with no shotgun.
Another buddy also play maybe once per week has the Wavesplitter and two tailed fox.
So my opinion, the more you play, the less you receive.

i would agree with this. since forsaken launch i had been playing around 20 hours a week and got maybe 4 exotics. two of which that were new. the past two weeks i haven't had as much time to play but some how i had 4 exotics drop. all year one stuff but to get 4 exotics to drop in maybe 10 hours of gameplay over 5 days verses close to 60 hours over 4 weeks is crazy. i also noticed most of my exotics drop during non peak hours. if that means anything.
