If you increase drop rates and fix duplicates, everyone will have everything in a week. They said they are addressing duplicates on the 30th. This is the right course of action. Exotics should be rare, so leaving drop rate alone is a good move. But you should also have a higher chance of getting something you don't have.
If the change fixes it enough, we will be solid.

I've gotten 5 exotics in 7 weeks(and one was a quest and I get like 2 to drop close to each other and then nada in exotic drops for a long while). I wouldn't even maybe mind having a chance at an exotic at least once a week or even twice a week minimum. Getting all Exotics has not ONCE deterred me from playing Destiny. Before the Forsaken update the drops were fine, shoot even since D1 Y1 exotic drops have been fine. This is the first time in I think ever I've had to complain about lack of Exotic gains, especially when the drops are duplicates 9 out of 10 times. I want a slight reduction in rarity(slight) because multiple week droughts kill the fun of the grind. That and not having the Queensbreaker Bow and getting wrecked by that in Gambit and not being able to pull mine out and counter sucks. And the only reason I can't pull mine out is I haven't had a chance for RNG to bless my Titan with all its glory. It's not just duplicates that are the problems, it's also drop rates. I'm not saying drop me an exotic every day, but I do need more than 1 or 2 every couple weeks.
