I hate to tell you, but that's what persistent game companies do: promote continued player engagement. It's kind of their job. You may not like the method they use, but it accomplishes the goal of continued player engagement. All I can say to those that can't stand it...there's a lot of new stuff coming out from other companies right now, I guess. Maybe change gears for a while, and see if things work out better for you later? No point in people being burnt out or pissed about pixels.
