Can we kill Zavala off in next DLC?
Not even in a cool way, have him do his little speech "We stepped into a war with the cabal" then have a Cabal drop ship just land on him. And Cadye-7 drops the cargo door which crushes Zavalas ghost ending him.

5 RepliesSo while the last city, guardians, and the rest of humanity are recovering from the red war, the one person that says no we need to protect ourselves at the moment and cant spare the resources needs to die ? The call was a good one as a leader. Besides obviously it only took a guardian ( or fireteam) to stop ol edge lord anyway. Stop the zavala hate he was just guarding our interests.

Honestly I have no investment in anyone who is left. Though I think if I could pick, zavala because all he does is stand on his wall, make rules and stare at the city. For someone obsessing over his city he sure does like to look in the wrong direction. Zavala you should be concerned with what's out there. For that reason I feel he has broken and I have lost any respect (though it was pretty small to start) I had for him. Hes being short sighted, stubborn and in my opinion quite stupid.

4 RepliesWe definitely lost the most charismatic of the three. Seriously, Caydes banter, his wit, the storylines, he’d bring a smile to your day. His dying words.... ‘Hows your sister?’. Then bam, we’re left with Zavala... wow, I’ve met brick walls with more personality. Cayde was his mate, yet he was content to do nothing over his death? What a guy. With mates like that, who needs enemies. Time to retire smurf boy, go harvest yourself a backbone.

They made him entirely incompetent only for other, much less important, characters to shine. The last time Zavala was genuinely competent was in his little flashback trailer where he awoke as a guardian for the first time. Since then? Nothing. In D2 vanilla he somehow forgot his entire life, centuries of war and battle experience and everything he knew about the cabal. Just so he could get saved by Hawthorne and then have that lesson" hurf durf humins can be guards toooo, we r nut so diffrent". Then in Warmind he used teleportation magic to get to Mars and be briefly angry at us for meddling with Rasputin. Only to be cast aside within twenty seconds because Ana Bray went "lmao I know what I'm doing I'm shpecial". Then in Forsaken he had a brief moment of integrity when he put his duty over personal desire but quickly got shat on by Ikora and the player guardian. You want Zavala to die? He's already dead. At this point Zavala being displayed as right in his decisions and competent in combat would be a much bigger shocker than anything else.

All the Guardian leaders deserve to be killed off. It's inexcusable how they let the Red Legion invade the Last City in the first place.

I wish Shaxx, Saladin, heck, even EFRIDEET was Titan Vanguard. I like Lady Efrideet, We both love our helmets. (I wonder if Shaxx and Efrideet could be a thing someday 🤷♂️)

5 RepliesImagine the plot twist, what if Zavala actually betrayed us, like he's the one that shut down our sky defense for the Cabal, or even rigged the prison riot, he was against us going to revenge Cadye, so it would make some since, and so Cadye-7 finds the dirt out and kills him. We get rid of Zavala and get Cadye back :)

Wouldn't say kill him off more like up his character in the future. Right now he's that substitute teacher that tells you not to do something but at the same time won't take action to stop you.

I liked his character in the vanilla campaign, but Warmind and Forsaken made me feel just “meh” about him. That being said, there is no reason to kill of ANOTHER vanguard. The door is still open for his redemption.

1 ReplyOr I’ve better we find out that what we saw at the prison of elders was a Remote controlled puppet and cayde 6 is still very much alive and zavala finds out that he was working for mara sov right from the beginning as her hidden friend. As for the fate of zavala he is removed from his post as commander and is exiled from the city just like they did with Osiris
