Getting people banned

A friend of mine was banned from playing d2 while we were in a raid. The appearent reason for his ban was: Lag Switching. I dont know how this would be possible because yes hes a 5k player but he hasnt played any pvp in the last week or 2. I dont understand why ppl can report a person more than once and why all you have to do to get someone banned is keep on reporting them. Because how your great system works is that the amount of reports matter not that the person actually did something.

  • If it’s the friend I believe it is, then he had almost 16 straight Trials games (just on 1 character ...I didn’t check others) that ended immediately without either team getting any kills, and 1 game where his team won after 3-4 total kills. While he may not have been doing anything, he was in a fireteam with someone that certainly was. Guilty by association, & this can certainly be grounds for punishment by bungie.
