If youre just dodging and leaving matches that have 3+ stacks in it, go play rumble or fortnite. It gets really old, really fast running 4v2 4v3 games simply because you're afraid.
* I was solo, playing a 4 stack. Two people on my team backed out as soon as we spawned into the map. *
This wouldnt happen in game with an actual competitive mode such as LoL or Overwatch to name a few. Why? Because they actually ban you, not a 30 minute time out lol.
And the best part is when they leave you can't even report them because their name isnt available anymore! #rant
** updated to show who was on what team. Stack vs randoms. **

25 RepliesI play solo, I am not in a clan. I don't see why I should stick around against a party of three or four who, in the vast majority of times have a connection advantage on top of being in communication with each other .. THAT genius is why people like me leave. I don't enjoy getting stomped on an unfair playing field and I am not going to stick around because you think I should you entitled little princess you. Bungie should match solo with solo and stacks with stacks. Simples.
-
4 RepliesBungie needs to add real servers and fix matchmaking before banning or penalizing people. This is on bungie and the game.
-
Let's be fair though, Bungie's attempt at a competitive playlist is actually really bad, matchmaking wise. They need to solidly put people up against each who have a similar Glory score but they also need to take fireteams into account. This means putting 4 stacks against other 4 stacks. I don't blame people for backing out of the match. I do it in the matchmaking screen. If I see it jump up by +4 then I instantly back out. It's not fun playing against sweaty four stacks when you're trying to solo queue.

There's no easy middle ground, back with trials we would get flooded with "I didn't do anything wrong and got disconnected and now I'm banned from trials forever" The flip side is with short penalties there's no incentive to stay around and get stomped. We are part of the problem is this regard as the community is pretty toxic in making demands of players with certain stats and k/d so the kids who care and want to be able to play with "good" players quit to preserve their precious k/d so they don't get ostracized from the LFG lot.
-
And thats why Overwatch > Destiny .
ps im in masters and d2 will never be competitive
-
2 RepliesThe game lets you leave. Therefore reporting will do no good because they have not done anything wrong.
-
15 RepliesI will leave every single game against a clan team, when my team consists of only randoms. Sry, but I'm not playing your prey because Bungie can't be arsed to provide a proper matchmaking algorithm. I'll keep playing whatever I want to, but thanks for the genuine recommendations, I appreciate it.
-
5 RepliesIMO, 500 points less for leaving the game, would prevent people from quitting. If it's a connection issue, you should be connected back to the game.
-
4 RepliesBungie could fix this by removing clan tags when displaying the players names and team lists.
-
2 RepliesMaybe cause they dont want to play with trash and ruin their kd?
-
2 RepliesI usually play solo most of the time. I do have friends who I team with from time to time, same can be said for clan mates, but sometimes I just want to run around lone wolf style. But even when I get matched against a stacked team, I refuse to back out. I’m not that kind of person. About a week ago, me and three other blueberries were all placed on one side of a Gambit match, while a fully stacked team stared us down on the other side. Before we even entered the fighting area, all three backed out. I saw this and just sat down. Didn’t get another person to join in until the middle of the second round. But I still didn’t back out. I just took the loss and moved onto the next match.

The amount of idiots in this thread that defend themselves for leaving when there's a 3-4 stack. Do one of two things. 1. Watch the 1/8 and if it instantly jumps to 4/5 leave and restart. 2. Stay and play. Not all 3-4 stacks are great or for that matter decent. Some are pretty dog. Extra. Don't play comp at all.
-
I leave because -blam!- you and your feelings.
-
4 RepliesMy god I hate quitters I agree ban them on the spot no mercy favor. Just flat out ban.
-
2 RepliesHonestly disappointed by a lot of the comments. You lose points by backing out and screw over three people, making them play a losing game. If you can't handle it, then don't play comp. Simple.
-
1 ReplyWhat do you mean by dodgers?
-
Me and this other guy almost beat a 4 stack, with just us two. Two randoms and we almost wrecked them. 5-1...but we couldn’t hold it. We held our ground and didn’t leave. If we had 4 people we would’ve wrecked them
-
Stacks lag a bit too man. Even though they think they don't, they do (surpise).
-
Simple fix: the game knows between someone backing out and an error code. If you back out of a match, you get a 15 minute ban. If you fo it again, it is a 1 hour ban. 3 times, 3 hours (24 hours if i had it my way) Idc if you say "i paid for it i can do whatever i want". No, you will not be a douche to the community.
-
Never played LoL but last I checked on overwatch, if there’s a 2 or 3 man team on one side, there’s almost always a 2 or 3 man team on the other, in destiny it’s a 4 man team with communications v 4 solo players with 0 comms
-
5 Repliesyour absolutely right and now your going to get a whole bunch of people commenting on how its acceptable to rage quit for whatever WEAK reason. oh no i will have an L in my stats thats just not acceptable even though my stats have me no where near pro status or actually making a living off the games i play. you entered into an online multiplayer pvp game, so play the dam game win or lose and get on with it

3 RepliesEdited by GrayWulf25: 10/21/2018 9:59:30 PMThere's a culture in gaming with -blam- ing kids leaving anything that does not immediately go in their favour I think it originates from the more toxic streamers and their "I'M DONE" mentality, when highlighting anything that beats them in PvP must be OP or broken. I don't play Competitive that much, maybe 3-4 games a week but the level of kids leaving Quickplay or IB without even trying is absurd. The best games are the comebacks against stacked teams when people stay in and fight together
-
I leave Gambit because being prestige I get nothing for losing. If my teams stupid enough to swarm like cockroaches for my motes and die with them then they're not losing anything extra
-
18 RepliesScrolling through these replies is really sad. This is the epitome of poor sportsmanship, leaving before the game is in full swing which gives your team a lesser chance of winning and you make yourself lose 100 glory points. If you can't handle fighting stacked teams please stay in Quickplay so you don't ruin things for others. Sure you can complain about the matchmaking system, but until it's fixed do the right thing and fight with your team. Remember if you leave you're making 3 other people lose their glory and the loss is mostly on you. This community really needs to grow up.
-
People believe their own bull5h1t. Just because they’re a team doesn’t make them good.
-
I agree, never understood how people have no confidence, if you lose to a 4 stack or random it's still a lose. Next game you join lose to randoms what was the point? A L is a L....
