I make the Destiny API mostly, though I do a variety of other random bnet work too. Mostly server side.

Oh that’s cool!!!! I wish I could work at Bungie

Keep an eye on the careers site - if you see one you like, apply! The worst they can say is "no!" You may be surprised! I feel like I'm personal evidence of that mantra: I never thought I'd get hired here, but when I saw a job position that matches what I do (web dev, focus on server side) open up, I was like "well, what's the worst they can say?" Seven years later, I'm still hanging in!

Another question (it’s probably a stupid one) do you know dmg, Scott Taylor, or cozmo
-
Edited by VThornheart: 10/20/2018 1:34:48 AMI know them, but I don't really work with them directly! I sometimes work with cozmo or dmg when our content management system blam's up, because I wrote it and it's... finnicky. heh
-
Are they pretty chill or no?
if you don’t want to talk in the forums you could pm me :)
Edited by VThornheart: 10/20/2018 1:37:39 AMOh no, it's okay! I don't know Scott Taylor enough to say, I don't think we've ever had a chance to really talk - but I have talked with cozmo and dmg, and they're both super nice folks! Both friendly and approachable. And they're saints for putting up with my terrible CMS. :)

I figured considering all the bs on these forums. Do you guys ever play the game just for fun or just to test bugs/play test?
-
Lots of us play for fun - though for me, I used to just play for bugs and play testing. First Person shooters aren't my usual genre, and I'm terrible at them. But I started playing again with Forsaken! Gambit made a huge difference to me, it gave me something to do in the endgame that provided interesting variation without requiring me to have the endgame skills required by Raids or Crucible.

Yeah gambit also piqued my interest when I saw it and I always end up on top of the leaderboard in my matches. I think I’m at rank heroic one, how about you?

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely keep an eye out!!!
