It gives PVE players who are other wise not very good at pvp a huge advantage over people who play mostly pvp and are good.

2 RepliesEdited by SolarCerberuS: 10/18/2018 9:18:18 PMIf some one is good at PVP the light level diff wont be a big issue, I'm average at best yet I went into IB with 545 solo against 590's and 600's (a 15% disadvantage) and so far have done fine. a HC will still kill in the same amount of shots (as long as you hit your crits), pulses, autos and subbies probably the most effected maybe requiring a few more round to hit for a kill.

6 RepliesIt’s not enabled in PvP only iron banner. Iron banner is an end game activity that now yields more powerful gear in a single week than any other single activity in destiny. Therefore level advantages are enabled to increase the risk to suit the reward. This is the PvP equivalent of a raid, you wouldn’t be expecting bungie to make it so light didn’t matter there too so why shouldn’t it matter in iron banner?
-
And yet those pvp players are destroying those 600 light players even when they are 200 light under
-
Yes this aspect of Iron Banner sucks.
-
Alright alright alright, you Mavericks ready to see what you’re fighting today? Crucibabies on the field!
-
It's only iron banner, which is just one playlist, for one week a month. Just don't play iron banner.
-
Don't play iron banner then

Edited by zJDz: 10/18/2018 5:46:19 PMI am 552 at my best and was doing just fine against players 20-40 light levels above me. I noticed my shots did less damage but I had no problem killing them and being on the top of the leaderboard. The one thing I will note is that the Titans death from above melee attack can 1 hit kill if your 20+ light different. With dunmarchers it becomes like a mini fist of havoc that can kill multiple enemies in one hit. (They have to be lower light).

14 RepliesIt’s a pve game, keep up with the content.

2 RepliesMost of D2 is PvE so players are intended to play some of it to help with levelling up their power level even if they preferer PvP and the same goes for PvE players as PvP has power up reasons to play and items only found in PvP activities So if anyone is limiting "power" it is the player themselves no one else. PS. In D1 IB and Trials was always a case of "power matters" and it's return is due to players request..

Your ridiculous. Sorry I play more than just PvP. Sorry you dont take the time to play and explore all of what destiny has to offer.
-
I’m 530 and haven’t really noticed anything different
It gives PVE players who are other wise not very good at pvp a huge advantage over people who play mostly pvp and are good.
Really? Look at my last 5 games of IB I played last night..... If you "play mostly pvp and are good" you should not have a problem out playing a PvE player like me.

16 RepliesWell, if they're good... they'll still win
-
So, if they are so good what does it matter. Talk about being at a disadvantage what about people that didn't buy forsaken.

1 ReplyIt's just an inherently terrible mechanic. Spits in the face of Skill > Grind.
