Masks need to go over armor not replace it
Bungie can you please make it to where our masks go over the armor and not replace it so our light lvl doesn’t drop?!?!? Every other mmo does this but you. Makes no sense.

Since they don't go over the helmet? Wtf do I even want them ? To collect dust in the bank? My D1 account still has a pile of worthless shit also. What are you using them for ? To look cool in the tower ? I already have 6 different types of helmets..

It is how Festival of the Lost masks work. It is how it has been for years. The only content that would require full power are the new end game activities in the Dreaming City. Everything else can be easily completed wearing a mask. Are you that bad that you can't deal with a slight power level dip?

Too late for all that. What is this.....the third fotl? Idk I never take part in them....anyhoo Bungie didn't listen before, no surprise they didn't this time. No broom stick, no skull mask, no 🐺 mask, no possessed emote. Man this sucks.

1 ReplyI think it should have been a temporary ornament system. Removing people’s play styles by denying them the ability to use an exotic helmet or preferred legendary helmet is stupid. Maybe they were scared than wormhusk, skullfort, crown tempest and few others were to strong for the forest. Then again every fotl that’s had masks has worked the same way in replacing your helmet so. I wonder how shaxx feels about masks cause the helmet stayed on 😱😬

3 RepliesThe worst part isn't so much that your light takes a hit. Moreso that after the Festival, you'll never see the masks anywhere other than the Tower simply because they can only have a 10 light stat. All the work designing them out the window, essentially.

2 RepliesNah, just give every class a "Haunting Mask" Legendary Headpiece. ¬Icon is just evil glowing eyes in darkness. ¬All the masks are ornaments for it & it comes equipped with Cryptarch Mask. There is no option to have it with no mask ornament, you are just able to switch them. ¬Comes with set rolls allowing it to be retrived from the collection. ¬First infusion is only 5k glimmer.

The trend with these events is to nake you less powerful. People get to run Nightfalls 40 levels over with Solar Singe, Heavyweight, and Sleepers/Whispers all the time, now youre going to have to bring it back down a bit.

how is it that they are not ornaments.. they have the mechanic to do this already, just utilize it. the ornament changes the look of something.. infact. Transmog every item as an ornament so once you obtain 10 scatterhorn helms it would unlock it as an ornament.. now we could look how we want with the armour we have.

It's so dumb they do this. Plus they overlapped iron banner with mask crucible bounties so there tons of 400's and 300's running around iron banner with no level masks getting wrecked. I went 21-0 last night against this. What a hilariously sloppy mess.

It should have been a festival of the lost helmet with regular light level capabilities, and the masks available as unlockable ornaments. To the op of this idea. Great idea!

4 RepliesThe forest is Light Level 200. Not exactly worthy of needing a Mask that is up to 600. Lol However unless you just simply want to run around with it on and have fun then I totally agree with what your asking.

Agreed -- Masks should have been implemented as armor ornaments. Since they were not, then I am guessing that their actual intent is to drop player light scores.
