Every time I use them in PvP it’s like they can’t do any damage

8 RepliesJust want to point out that spectral blades dies to 2 shotgun shots meaning you can straight up kill them in a 1v1
-
4 RepliesWatch TrueVanguard's video on how to use it effectively. Be stealthy. Don't play it like Bladedancer.

6 RepliesEdited by Xeno: 10/16/2018 11:45:25 PMHave you seen warlocks? Frickin ima firin mah lazer boys out here shooting lazers out of their hands like some Goku shit. Don't get me started on Nova Warp. That shit lasts an eternity and on top of that! Hang on hang on let me get my shit together. Aight. Nova warp is op. There. I said it. I don't care! Cry all you want. It is op. It should get a nerf. NO. It NEEDS a nerf. Titans out here trying to make their moms proud by being superman, yeah well WARLOCKS are out here making their anime fanboys drool all over their feet while they incinerate everything they see. Oh and hunters. Oh no. OH OH OHH. Hunters. I feel sorry for you guys. Yeah you got that sick blade barrage that obliterates anything it touches, but you also got some tiny ass kitchen knives which shadestep right before they touch an enemy. Now that shit is cool and all, but it does nothing. Absolutely nothing. I say buff Titans and Hunters. Put some huge ass muscles on their supers and make them crazy strong. As for warlocks. Keep em where they are. If the game is as unbalanced as it is now, buff the weak parts of it. No more nerfing! Except nova warp. Nerf that this instant.

1 ReplyI really wanna like this super, not to mention this subclass. way of the wraith has great bones, love the premise and the style to it, very unique and it has good potential. There are however a few problems with this super, and the first problem has nothing to do with balance so I'll get this out of the way before the others. First off, this super is clearly not being used how it should be. Spectral blades actually has a fairly good *base* duration, but the energy consumed per swipe absolutely drains the hell out of the super meter. Bungie likely did this to encourage usage of the stealth abilities of the super. And frankly, that would make sense because of how much more success I have when using it how it was "intended" to be. I pop the super while in cover and considerably far from enemies (that being what most people would consider medium range). Then I evaluate the area and use a mix of invis, cover, wallhacks and luck to approach and kill them hopefully before they see me, if they do it's usually after you already covered enough ground to secure the kill. so from what I gathered, clearly this super is meant for picking off one or two at a time. And definitely not for use on the "codependent clumps" of players who miss the teamshot meta. but, I will say that even when WotW is used properly it is still underwhelming for many small reasons. This super needs a little bit of help in each of several different places. here is what I would recommend after spending considerable time playing around with it: *clean up all the hit registration bugs, including the one in particular that causes you to overshoot a target and literally go through them lol. *increase lunge distance on the heavy/invis attack * Increase base duration by at least 2 seconds *Increase maximum speed substantially and allow sprint by default while in super (no need to hit LS or Shift to have max speed) * reduce energy cost on HIT. (keeping the energy cost on swing the same or just ever so slightly lower to still encourage those stealth aspects rather than enabling the player to pretend he is an arcstrider) * Increase the armor to the same values as arcstrider. reason being, this super requires you to be up close and if they see you coming and they have a shotgun (good chance that they will) you wont have a good chance of surviving them before getting the kill. That's pretty much all, Reply if you any thoughts on my ideas for the changes. Also maybe even give me some suggestions of your own, that'd be cool.

Plus the super should be longer

1 ReplyI killed a spectral blades user the other day....WITH A MELEE ATTACK, HE WAS USING HIS DAMN MELEE SUPER, THAT SHOULDNT HAVE HAPPENED But yeah, coming from a warlock, spectral blades needs a buff, it's just to weak
-
1 ReplyIt needs more lunge. Perhaps kills extend duration? I wouldn’t mind blink like OG blade dancer.
-
1 ReplyI've noticed some really bad hit detection while airborne. Like, 3+ hits against other players if we're both in the air
-
No it’s shit. People really be out here saying it’s meant to be slow, last only a very small amount of time, and do terrible damage. If that’s the case then this super is meant to be shit. Working as intended.
-
Overall the perks and how use the tree is more for sniping. Kinds funny considering it's a melee super. Good old D1 days, why I hardly use it had my fun with blade dancer.
-
the tree itself is pretty good. the super isn't
-
My favorite is using spectral attacking two hits on a titan that is casting his solar super and I die.... Like no really I hit you twice already and I’m dead just for you turning yours on?
-
1 ReplyI find most people dont know how to use it, it's supposed to be a slow, assassin kinda super. All I see is people spam that attack button and miss 90% of their hits
-
I see a lot of people trying to use this super like D1 Blade dancer and that just isn't what it is supposed to be. You gotta be stealthy and pick your targets accordingly, not rushing into a team mashing the attack button. I've played against good Spectral blades in comp. When they use their Invis and map knowledge, they can be nasty little poopers. But most people fancy the one and done effectiveness of blade Barrage or the twirly stick so if I get done in by ghost knife, I'll give y'all props.
-
Agreed, as a warlock main I even think this super needs a change. Not that im against counter play but I hate it when my super gets cheater on because of something so stupid.
-
1 ReplyWhen I saw the trailer for forsaken, I said damn I need those blades So of course it was the first super I unlocked Ended up being the biggest mistake, the super is terrible in all facets
-
yeah, they need better hit detection. like the melee for the sentinel shield.
-
It must be just you, because they suck everywhere.
-
The hit registration is on par with the sentinel hit registration. Which both are atrocious
-
It’s quite easily the worst super in the game. The neutral game is great though so it’s ok. Kinda reminds me of how nightstalker was in D1. If only there was something like felwinters artifact...
-
8 RepliesNot even kidding when i say i took a break from d2 before even before osiris, saying i would never buy a dlc again. Then i saw the trailer and preordered forsaken literally just to use spectral blades hoping to get my baby bladedancer back. I was very disappointed. Havnt used them since a week after forsaken launch. They bootycheeks. Nerf titan btw

6 RepliesThe in air mobility needs changed on it as well as hit detection and tracking. What’s the point of a super that everyone can easily run away from?
-
6 RepliesNei tis thou whom sucketh.
-
Neutral games sweet, super is trash!
-
I dont even use the class for the Spectral Blades super ability. I just use it for the True Vision. So good.
-
I don't feel like it's all that bad, coming out of invisibility the hit detection is great, spamming it likes it's bladedancer harms its damage as its primary objective I think while out of invis is to propel you forward and not to enemy's but while Invis it tracks and kill easily with great hit detection. Just hide while invis and stalk someone so that they won't notice you, when you're breathing down their neck, snap their neck and go back to stalking. You may not get a quad kill feed with it like other supers but the 1-2 picks you get and the knowledge you obtain from seeing through walls is already a more powerful weapon to wining a team fight then raw damage.
