How about we focus on why they're leaving in the first place and im not talking about the 1st rounders. I mean the people who get put against people way out of their league. Why in the world would you want to punish People for it? Ive never understood the "shoot first ask questions later" like mentality of people?

I tend to agree that matchmaking could be better - you only get better by playing against better players but that has a limit of course. If you get smashed you get disheartened and don't feel like going back but if you have a close game you think wow I'll get it next time perhaps. There is a bit skill gap between average players and top 1% in this game so if average players (which I am myself) come up against god tier players inevitably there is only one outcome. However if I face players my skill level or slightly better I have a decent chance.
