The trick to avoid Stacked Teams in PvP as a Solo player 90% of the time.
I keep reading that fighting stacked teams sucks... and honestly, I hate it too when going solo. No matter the matchmaking, the fact they can talk to each other makes a HUGE advantage.
What me and my friends do is click on Quickplay or any other mode (except Competitive... I mean, it should be teams there), and then go to [b]Roster[/b] quickly and watch the matchmaking form. Teams have a Vertical line linking player together. If you see a team of 5 or 6 (or 4, whatever your preference) just get out of menu and press cancel, wait a couple of seconds and try matchmaking again for new people (sometimes you won't have time to escape, but with huge loading times in Crucible it shouldn't be a problem).
Anyways, it's an option. I personally don't mind a lot of small teams, but when I see 5 or 6 I cancel it if going solo.

1 ReplyYou know that you don't get to see the physical roster update anymore until the matchmaking finishes, right? At that point you can't leave even if you wanted to (You could quit the game before the match loads, I suppose, but that's a hassle in itself to constantly do). It never works for me that way, at least. Unless people join my specific fireteam the roster never updates until players are in the game (like the physical match on your screen, boots on the ground and all) The only way I've found to see if teams join is if the 1/8 number suddenly jumps up by 4. HOWEVER, this isn't always accurate, as you may join a lobby already filled with people (above 4) and it'll go up by so much that there 'might' be a team of 4, but you don't know. Also, similarly, you could join a lobby with 4 individual people (when it looks like a team of 4 joined you) and not truly know.
