Greetings Guardians and any fellow content creators. Just made this video today. I found a way to easily remove weapons from the screen to do Destiny screenshots and videos on Xbox One. Do not know if PlayStation has any comparable functionality, but any PS players let me know if you do.
Removing weapons was pretty easy to do in D1 with the sword glitch and unfortunately that didn't transfer to D2, however it was still possible to use third party apps to swap/delete weapons in each slot. There is also the back against an object and sit method as well as the quick screen grab between weapon swaps.
I've heard the method using third party apps was patched out, but not sure. Either way, it was kinda a pain in the ass. I've asked for the functionality to be built into D2 and was hoping Forsaken would bring some option for that, but I've discovered a super easy way to remove the weapon in seconds with no glitches required and it stays that way until you want to stop. You can still use weapons, abilities, sparrows, fast travel and even go to other planets without having to reset anything.
Since posting this video I've found that recurve bows (Arsenic Bite, Wish-Ender) are the definitive weapons to have equipped to do this as they have the smallest on screen profile for bows and completely eliminate any part of the bow showing when running and jumping (tested on Warlock class).
I'll link footage shot with Arsenic Bite in an edit. Hope people find this useful and it makes creating fun Destiny content more accessible over all and interested to see if anyone does a fun Machinima using this technique.

Thank you :)

7 RepliesLost Sols makes some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game-A Broken Record.

Lol you make a good post for players interested in making content but then return to the toxic ways in most of the replies and in one of them add how that person makes this place "even worse"

8 RepliesYou want that? Okay, Here s how. Be a warlock, use your well with phoenix equipped and chances are, the shitty game made by 3 people in a garage will brick, and your weapons will disappear. Also, if u do the well, it will also make u not be able to grab harmony, because -blam!- you, you don't need that. Also, what's this? The radiance is supposed to heal you, but u went outside your well to grab that harmony which it glitches out? Well, your radiance won't heal you when u get back and you'll die from curse INSIDE the bubble.....but yeah, just thought you should know of the "intended" way of removing weapons.

2 RepliesOr you know, a free cam feature using ghost, oh and also being able to lower your gun yourself.

I found another way of doing this. It involves recurve bows, and what I remember doing was throwing a grenade and quickly aiming the bow. My sight disappeared and it was a zoomed in screen. I unzoomed and it went back to normal. Thought I should say this. Nice video.

1 ReplyA similar effect can be achieved by using a sword hilt, turning HUD off, and crouching next to a wall or ledge in such a manner that your character is hidden offscreen. I managed a solid 26 screenshots in D1 in under 2 hours with that technique.
