LFG is a joke
guided games sucks unless you have 2-3 days at a time to sit in cue waiting to get picked up, and LFG is a joke. I have spent hours joining fireteams searching for a game and nothing...... The few times I actually get a response it is a lobby full of idiots with no understanding of the raid or communication skills. There has to be a better system than this.

Lfg to me is no different to matchmaking, you can join groups with KWTD an you join an they don't know what to do, but sometimes u get good groups that breeze thru it, best thing to do is either see how it goes if u think it's gonna be a struggle leave an start again, the raid itself is pretty easy the only hard encounter is the 2nd boss that really makes or breaks groups.

Lfg works sometimes. That’s how I got whisper. That’s also how I joined a raid group and didn’t even get past first part. Hit or miss honestly.

1 ReplyIt was the way D2 raids are designed making it very hard to bring in 1 or 2 noobs and complete in a reasonable time. I love the last wish raid but it has intense team work mechanics. In D1 we would just random invite low levels right from the tower for Crota and even VoG, made a few friends that way and almost always had very good experience with LFG. The turning point was when they announced the Y2 triumphs them it all went to hell over the raid challenges.

8 RepliesI have a feeling you are full of shit. I have used LFG for years and have rarely had a problem. On PC almost every single person that posts knows what they are doing. I bet you never even used LFG, you are probably the anti-social weirdo with no communication skills. That’s why you waited so long for guided games like a scrub

I done a guided game for the first time doing leviathan and tried it for last wish but oh man, that queue is not forgiving. I tried a little experiment the other night just to see what the waiting times actually were when it said “queue length unknown” I had to work that night so I joined the queue before leaving. It was only a 4 hour shift as I work allot off split shifts (chef life) and no joke I was still in the queue once I returned from work so I just gave up on the guided games. The raid is new and allot of players haven’t completed it or are still getting used to the mechanics etc. Think it will be a while before allot of clans are helping guid players. I’ve just been using LFG and making my own posts. Gotten up to the vault so far.

If bungie could get there head out the sand and just matchmake everything , and let community have fun and frustration and they add the boot kick function with limits and dc functions and reports functions and other good stuff in game , the game not have so many rag quitters or hatters in chat , or hell they could even run a real lobby chat for once on consoles. you run into the same people in lfg sites that matchmaking was design to prevent . wtf bungie . I mean WTF it like the old medal of honor on 36k modem and got wait for the host be on , and if not random lobby lowest ping , and get in a room of elites typest as can see i am not . or get on mic with a 36kb modem and chat since that would work .

5 RepliesJust join join join a bunch of groups get invited they a few runs and see if you are making progress and working well together if not leave. I cant count the amount of times a group has kept me stuck on an encounter only for me to leave find a new group and beat it instantly.

Honestly I’d go a little further and say the destiny community as a whole is juss toxic. Were all in this game together. The amount of players that are willing to help other are few and far between. And if you go on any lfg site or app, it’s just a bunch of sweats looking to run the raid as fast as they can. “KWTD LW SPEED RUN 669+ BE GOOD OR GET KICKED”. I enjoy helping other players out because let’s be honest, not everyone has friends, not everyone has friends that play this game, and not everyone is as good as the next guy. But that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be able to enjoy the content. But this community is so caught up in getting to the highest PL and the best guns and juss to the end game so quick, they don’t even stop to enjoy it. To have fun. To laugh at stupid things like a player always fallin off a jumping puzzle. To get excited that you juss one phases gorgeth by the skin of your teeth. They just get all the best stuff within two weeks and complain complain complain. Which is fine because it’s human nature to never be satisfied. I just believe the fun lies in the way you make use of the content. If go off the beaten path and try new things with new people instead of YouTubing the best cheeses and Loadouts for bosses and juss have fun with the content, you’ll be much happier. Or don’t and remember it’s a friggen video game.

For real though idk where you all came from but please go back. If you 590 and can't do over 2m on kali please never raid again. I was in a group of 590s that barely hit 1m when I hit 3.7m

1 ReplyIf you weren't forced to sit in orbit while waiting for a group it wouldn't be so bad. Maybe they could change it so you can do other activities and when your group is ready you are required to return to orbit to join.

The big problem with LFG is that people forget to close the fireteam after they form their team. That way the post can stay up for days, while people leave and others join, putting it back to the top of the list constantly. So Yeah, thats pretty annoying

not sure about you but the Xbox LFG work AMAZINGLY and I never have a hard time finding people to play at any time :D

6 RepliesHonestly I don't know why they haven't incentivized guided games more. An emblem with a counter on it is NOT enough of an incentive to [b]repeatedly[/b] teach complete strangers the raid. My clan maxes guided games each season but once that is done, there just isn't the incentive to keep spending time on it. They should reward 1 final key chest key (ethereal Key) for teams running a complete raid, beginning to end, using guided games. Meaning members of the team guiding would get the key even if they've already done the raid that week. They could not give any other drops, just the final encounter drop key and it would be worth it. The way it is now, I don't see our clan participating beyond the requirement for the seasonal clan max. This is Bungie's fault; they've known there is a problem with guided games from the get go and yet here we are in YEAR 2 and they've made no correction to it. :/
