AFK’er admitting he does it all the time and no ban?
Bungie, you need to sort this crap out. I’m sick of getting half way though a strike and realizing old mate is chilling at the spawn.
I know people say leave and start a new but I shouldn’t have to. If people are constantly doing it and admitting to doing it why don’t you take charge. These blammming idiots ruin the community.

I can understand pvp and gambit prime but I really dont care if someone is afk for regular gambit or strikes. I actually would prefer strikes solo vs sharing the glorious kills with blueberries.

Bungie obviously needs the player numbers. They don’t give a -blam!- about people playing and concentrate on stacking the numbers with AFKers and cheats. They clearly aren’t hitting the desired player base because of shit like this. They seriously need to concentrate on -blam!-ers like this moving forward so people can enjoy the game they make. They are their own worst enemy.

2 RepliesThe problem is knowing where to draw the line. Is it okay for someone to use the restroom? Or replace their batteries if they die? I guess hypothetically speaking there could be a system that if done often enough takes action.

I feel like matchmaking would help if it matched you people that actually play the strike but matched afkers with afkers.

2 RepliesYou want to screw with Strike AFKers? Send a message to the other guy that's not AFK helping you in the strike, tell him to switch Subclass to the same one you're using when the boss gets to about 5% health. Once you have the same subclass on kill the boss, the person who was AFK wont get credit for the Strike Milestone because you changed subclasses to one different from the AFKer, making him have to do another strike wasting more of his time. Report him, then block him. FK'em.

Not all that uncommon to see this is in gambit or crucible either. Best guess is that some folks are only there for the completion bounties or rewards, and they know they’ll receive them anyway and won’t get vote-kicked out or anything. This could be the case with gambit or crucible too and could also be that they sometimes don’t feel like there’s any point, because they won’t win or do well anyway.

As soon as we spawn in, one ran into the action, the other continually spins in circles then rockets themselves. I revive, they repeat so I move on.. they never respawned til we got a gate then immediately rockets again. When we get to boss, they repeat. 0 kills. The only thing they killed was themselves. The other clan Guardian fought like a lion. They essentially spent the whole strike looking at their corpse.. Or ghost.. Strange.

I’m to the point I don’t care any more. I just run my strikes and I either have help or I don’t. Most strikes can nearly be solo’d with pretty low difficulty.

2 RepliesRan a Strike with randoms, one guy ran about the EDZ shooting ads until the Boss phase warped him to the last fight. Never saw him until the Boss was 99% done. You could tell, even with a voiceless toon, the other guy that ran it with me was going, " Is this guy seriously taking the Mick or what?" as he ran up to grab his tokens and a blue. I just used the red card emote and went to Orbit.

There is one strike that i think requires all 3 ppl at a checkpoint before a door opens. Had one player sitting in spawn so me and the other person had to leave because we Couldn’t progress.

1 ReplyReporting AFK players usually gets them booted from the game pretty quickly. Ot at least that's how I feel. After my report, they're usually gone in the next two minutes or so.
