Am I doing riven cheese wrong?
Last night (4 hours ago for me because I'm a psychopath) a fireteam and I tried to do the riven cheese. All but 1 of us were above 580, myself being 589. We had a melting point titan and I used my empowering melee, with my well of radiance and lunafaction boots. We could never get her past the 1/4th health mark with only 1-2 guardians topping 2 mill damage. I was averaging 1.5 mill. We had 2-3 hunters using celestial nighthawk, which I haven't seen in any videos but I cant imagine that being a crutch as they'd have plenty of time to get their rockets off.
What did we do wrong?

I've done it several times now. Been with groups that have breezed though it, and been with groups that have struggled. Banner shield and tractor cannon add ~1 million+ dps on top of what players do normally with well of radiance alone. Also advisable to use one of the newer forsaken rocket launcher w/cluster, as you can put a boss spec mod on for more dps. On top of the already mentioned riven curse/transcend blessing mods. In my experience, melting point isn't advised. Doesn't seem to generate enough extra dps alone.

Multiple people need to be above 2 mil not just 2 of you. Also the hunter needs to use shattering strike as well. Use transcendent blessing mods on all armor and boss spec on your cluster and you’ll melt her ass.

On my team we had 1 tractor cannon and a well of radiance. The rest had cluster rockets. All close to 2 and a half million dmg. So you must have done something wrong yeah......

7 RepliesI used a solar sins of the past with no forsaken armour mods and I average 2.5mil without any Titan buffs. We had 3 warlocks unfortunately. I never got it done because so many players were no nowhere near the 2mil mark.

This is what I’ve learned the few times I’ve done it. Aim to the right of the Blight, the White part. It gets The Rocked good and in there. After all rockets are launched push up an Shotgun her. Simple. Also, your buffs are perfect so your other members must be missing.

3 RepliesEdited by Tosevite 187: 10/12/2018 8:43:29 AMI’m kinda gonna guess here cause I haven’t messed around with this cheese that much and now I’m 600 so it’s stupid easy now but here’s how I imagine you’d want to do this. Armor wise want an increase rocket reserve perk on and transcend blessings/riven curse. The mods give a 25% damage buff so even if it drops your light some it’s worth it. The rocket reserve perk needs to be on only until you rally the flag (joining allies glitch will reset the ammo tho if you switch off it). This gives you an extra rocket- if all 6 do it it’s almost like having an extra player in there shooting rockets. Rocket wise you ideally want a void cluster rocket with a boss spec on it. Boss spec isn’t as important as clusters and void. So if you need to use a year 1 rocket if it’s all you have. Clusters are essential and making it void boosts damage by like 25% more Ideally have 1 warlock with lunafaction boots using well. Have 1 titan using banner shield and tractor cannon. Have the rest be celestial hunters. Boop riven instantly, drop the well, pop banner shield, unload rockets from well through shield, super. If you aren’t doing 2 mill you’re definitely doing something wrong. You’re literally getting 130ish% bonus damage with all the stacks At 595ish I was hitting right around 3 mil consistently [spoiler]You could also just learn the encounter and do it normally so when you beat it you actually feel like you accomplished something[/spoiler]

3 RepliesYou need to do an average of 2 mill per person iirc. Put a titan with tractor cannon and a banner shield. Im not trying to discourage you or anything but if you can't pull the numbers up you should try to do it normally.
