Is the Korean version of D2 the reason we don't get exotics?
Is that the reason Xur doesn't sell them? Is that the reason drop rates of the new stuff are so abysmally low?

See this is what happens when a game dev remakes a game for another country. Korea has a daily exotic vendor where you can buy (with real money) what you want. No grind needed. So we get stuck with year one Xur. Koreans are running around with Forsaken exotics like they were given away. This is Bungie’s response to the game in the rest of the world... —-Working as intended. No need to fix. Don’t forget to buy the annual pass.

2 RepliesStretching out the content is the only reason for the low drop rate. Because now we're actually getting to the point where the next content drought is about to kick in, with all ascendant challenges and dreaming city content just repeating itself until December. In Bungie's mind the absence of certain exotics in your collections, just like the inability to masterwork everything, will keep us playing and grinding until the next DLC.

Im actually surprised Bungie hasnt had Eververse sell Three of Coins as a booster for 300 silver with a guaranteed Exotic drop within the first hour of a 4 hour boost when killing a boss(Heroic Strike, Heroic PE, Nightfall, Heroic Adventure, Heroic BW, Raid Encounter.)

Korean version may not be directly affect the general version but general version exotic rarity will inadvertently create a sense of expansiveness and preciousness to Korean. The exotic in Korea will worth shit if the Korean know how every Tom Dick and Harry have most of them in general version.

No, because if I’m correct the Korea version should have the exotic system reworked just for them because of dedicated servers

I think it’s simply because the new exotics are locked behind the Forsaken purchase and if there are individuals still playing without the DLC. As long as you can play the game without the most immediate updates to content then universal vendors are going to be shoehorned closest to the least obstructive. Xur is just a fated engram that is a direct item purchase.
