Sleeper simulant catalyst! Bungie put it somewhere else! no one is doing SOS anymore !!!
Hey Bungie, it's impossible to get Sleeper catalyst right now. It's impossible to find people to do SOS !!! Make it possible to get it somewhere else !

1 ReplyI really dislike Spire of Stars. The mechanics are not fun at all. Just a lot of synchronized standing while trying to kill a crap load of ads. Plus it takes way too long to get through the mechanics. They should have trimmed it to one "going up section." The spotting section should not exist.

12 RepliesThe only thing that should be locked behind the raid, are RAID weapons and armor!!! Bungie had NO business locking NON-RAID weapon catalyst behind the raid!!! I know this will come as a surprise, but not everyone wants to do the raid!!! STOP trying to make people play activities they don’t want to play!!!

Literally, impossible because they were taken out of the game and even though they said they were going to implement new ways to get them, they sure do take a long time getting anything done at ol’ bungle.

2 RepliesI actually find this funny.. leaving content behind old raids to make them worth running is what we wanted back in D1 when they made all the old raids redundant.. Now they have delivered and people are complaining that they dont wanna do the old raids anymore 🤦♂️

Agreed. There are quite a few Catalysts that can't be obtained right now (tied to Factions), as well as several locked to Raids and Nightfalls which are effectively off-limits to solos. IMO (for whatever that's worth), Catalysts should drop from activities equal to the requirements to get the weapon. Quest Exotic Catalysts should drop from activities (Strikes, Patrols, PEs, whatever) on the planet the weapon is obtained from; random-drop Exotic Catalysts should drop from world activities or Crucible completions (maybe even split the loot pools so some Exotics drop from PvP and some from PvE, and the Catalysts drop from the same activity the weapon drops from?); and sure, Raid Exotic Catalysts can stay in Raids, since that's where they came from in the first place. I'm still mildly miffed about Nightfall-exclusive drops not being part of the general Strike loot pool (as if Raids weren't enough PvE elitism, and Strikes weren't already among the lowest reward vs. time activities in the game), but now I'm getting Exotics I can't even upgrade? If whatever activity I'm doing is good enough to drop an Exotic in the first place, that same activity should drop the Catalyst as well. (Or, alternatively, lock the Exotics themselves behind the activity the Catalyst comes from - I'd rather have no Exotics than half-Exotics that get outclassed by Masterworked versions in PvP and can't even generate Orbs in Strikes or PvE.)

6 RepliesIt should’ve at least been something to do with escalation protocol. Like if you kill the final boss it has a 10% chance to drop. And the objective is to defeat 3 final bosses with the sleeper.

5 RepliesGot news for you OP, most poeple didn't care about SoS even with the catalyst. The catalyst was an RNG drop which means never for some people. I doubt more than 0.01% of players finished SoS. (A month after release, 100,000 Guardians had completed SoS. Then Destiny Raid Report stopped publishing completion numbers.) I wasn't a full raid. All of the rewards were going to be obsolete when Forsaken dropped anyway. I would rather the catalysts be the end result of a quest like with the Polaris Lance that is collecting dust in my vault.

Ok, while I'm in agreement slightly here, LET'S BE HONEST. How many people do we REALLY want running around with a sleeper with 700 charge time? Seriously, be very honest: 1 in 1000, or 1 in 10?

9 RepliesThe major problem there is that for some reasons Bungie have decided to make year 1 content absolutely redundant. It makes very little sense, irrelevant how good year 2 content is, to make a ton of content redundant (apart from, you know, if you think players wouldn't buy Year 2 if Year 1 was still worthwhile to play). This indeed leads to a point where players don't want to play the content anymore and this leads to this situation. Prestige raids use to give a lot of masterworked weapons, which would have given an incentive to do it, but this was tuned down miserably (before announcing that well, maybe there is not enough masterwork core source, irony if I ever see one) That said, if you're in a clan who cares, you should be able to get this running.

So? If you want to get it go through old content. Don’t let season pass players not able to access it.

2 RepliesGet a clan that doesn't mind running old content then! You could always try and tempt people by pointing out that even yearb1 raids still get the whole clan a powerful engram for clearing any raid!

They should probably just put some worthwhile loot in all of the raids and raid lairs. Give each one a powerful engram each week or something.
