One level above my power is not powerful gear
I’m 571 and have had this same frustrating experience for the past few weeks where I spend time doing stuff on reset day to get gear that is the 572 and doesn’t help me any.
Fix this.

6 RepliesYou know nothing about frustration! When you 596, and the only thing lower than 597 is your Edge Trasit! And you spend a week + day of next reset just to find better power weapon.

Learn how the drops work and pick the ones you need first +1 or +5 it’s not hard and you can gain up to 20 light a week easy.

I know the infusion and leveling sucks, maybe if they take out the requirement of only like class armor infusion like RoI, so if you didn't get lucky this week with what you wanted, at least one of your other crits might benefit?

Or no levels. I keep getting powerful gear below the item equipped. So worthless.

7 RepliesEdited by Penhalion Wolfe: 10/11/2018 8:11:56 AMThe only gear worth a damn since Forsaken launched has been the prime engrams and 3 of the bounty rewards. It's been the usual smoke and mirrors but, people only now seem to have noticed! The system is designed to jump you 10 power per week once you hit 540. So you should literally now be hitting 600 if you have played like any average player would. If you miss any weeks you'll need to deduct 10 from that 600 for each missed week and 2 power for any skipped powerful engrams. Right on schedule Festival of the lost will hit the week after the average player will have achieved 600 on one of their characters (3 if they are a full on grinder). Edit: Festival is basically there to take up the slack as the player starts to think "Ok got 600.....what now?". After Festival we should expect some Banner, maybe some announcements for Factions and I would guess a possible unexpected change to the Dreaming City curse cycle story. The aim Bungie have will be to keep introducing timegated content into the game in a drip feed manner every 3 weeks or so until Black Armoury. That content will then do the same for 3 months until the Drifter DLC and that stage of the story kicks off. Finally culminating in Penumbra and then a big final DLC introducing Savathun and the darkness proper.

I feel your frustration and I'm sure most people do. It's been a problem forever when it doesnt give you the item you need to advance. I would normally say it's not that bad when i get a duplicate close to the same light level because you could just infuse it into another item in case you want to use that but with the lack of MW cores being easily obtained, it just adds to the frustration.

Well it does help. It helps 1. There are a ton of resources available dedicated to explaining the leveling system. If you complete your milestones efficiently, you can maximize your return. Read up.

Power engrams drop 5 light higher then your overall light level. If your highest light overall is 555 but your arms are 560 you are still at 555 overall. Your power engram will give you a 560 item, It’s just unlucky that you dropped arms again

I am. too tired to give a reply explaining shit. too tired of reading same shit over. too tired to even focus right now, I haven't slept in oh look! a butterfly! did you know, that butterflies taste with their feed! amazing right if there is one thing I wish I could do like an animal is have a hole on my back I could breathe through, that or at least let me breath through my asshole. can you imagine the selfies I would take,. I would literally look like every sesame street character ever. speaking of, man I really need to clean my fridge, there is this blue shit growing in what I assume to be cheese, and I stuck 2 teddy bear eyes in it I found under the bed from the hotel I am sleeping in, in order to remind me NOT to eat it.

3 Repliesthis gal hang out with same thing , she got 4 pieces of legs for her weekly and piss, to point she done with the game , were try keep playing , but we thing she done , after this week . she got 538 the other leg was 541 , she finaly got a 543 leg , her entire weekly so far she not gone up 1 level from 538. and out weekly . almost.

1 ReplyThose +1 powerful rewards are gap fillers. Your hunter is 572, so a 573 drop would be great for your 569 cape, for example. Now, actually getting those tier 1 rewards to actually drop in your low slots instead of your high slots where they are useless.....that's the rng challenge, my friend.

2 RepliesSince people still don't understand how levelling works in forsaken- Powerful Drops- Tier 1- Up to 520 max character power these drops will provide increases to OVERALL light at around +5, regardless of the specific weapon or armours current light in that slot. After 520 these will provide gear that is +1 to your light level, these include daily and weekly challenges and bounties. Tier 2- Up to 540 max character power these drops will provide increases to OVERALL light at around +5, regardless of the specific weapon or armours current light in that slot. After 540 these will provide gear that is +1 to your light level. These include some weeklies including the 2 nightfall challenges. Tier 3- Up to 560 max character power these drops will provide increases to OVERALL light at around +5, regardless of the specific weapon or armours current light in that slot. After 560 these will provide gear that is +1 to your light level. This includes dreaming city challenges. Tier 4- Drops uncapped +5 powerful gear, from the raid, exotics and prime engrams.
