The Sleeper simulant killed gambit.

Please nerf the sleeper simulant in gambit I no longer want to play because everybody and their mother is using it. Every time you collect those precious motes, someone invades and you won’t even have the time to hide and he one hit kills you with the sleeper. It’s bad, It’s very annoying and it killed all the fun in the game. Please give us a chance to fight it back!

  • Remove the ability for invaders to see where everyone is and the problem is all but solved. The over shield is plenty of an advantage.

  • In emailing support for bungie today with all the feedback ive received today. This will include ideas for not only fixing sleeper ideas, but also feedback on how to make the game mode better without touching sleeper. Thank you all for the feedback

    • I’ve got a solution, give supers more armor (I’m tired of popping my super only to get melted while I’m popping it, please. Or give iframes during the super animation. Just something please. Oh my god) make sleeper do less damage (in gambit, geez I don’t know why that’s such a hard concept to grasp for bungie) or! My absolute favorite option. If invaders get an overshield, make the heavy be the cost to invade. This way you don’t keep getting invaded by the same person, you don’t get swarmed with invaders and you can actually play the game and make Meaningful Choices.

      They are apparently just nerfing ammo reserves which solves none of the problem. One shot body shots with a ton of auto aim. Not to mention it absolutely shitting on supers.

        I'm honestly surprised there aren't more people running Titans for Gambit. Spoiler, I don't think Sleeper should be nerfed. I think it's a great reminder to those that motes should not be held longer than needed and that invader location needs to be found as fast as possible (remember they can only spawn on two possible sides during mote phase). You can and will die if you're careless. But, even if you do die to Sleeper, it doesn't matter if you don't have any motes to lose. But in light of all the complaints... all the Titans really have to do is have the big barricade on and sit there. If the Sleeper pops to try and shoot, the Sleeper has to waste at least one shot, giving away their position. Allowing a nice, crispy counter-snipe to win the day. -- But that's just me. Personally, I run either a tracking rocket or grenade launcher for Gambit, alongside a sniper to counter people camping with a sleeper for the invader. A Crooked Fang at 500MS charge is great as well. Much more ammo to use, greater efficiency against multiple people, and mine even has snapshot. -- Also, I think Gambit is the one mode that truly needs a solo que (that would actually be used quite a lot). THAT is what kills gambit for a lot of people, IMO. Pre-made teams for boss melting (within 1-2 stacks) is just unwinnable even if you're a good solo invader. After you're out, welp, you still lost. Sleeper deaths don't necessarily win matches (especially if you can [i]kill them back[/i]) but uncounterable boss melting does.

      • There is no way that it is as bad as people are making it out to be. Seriously. It's ONE aspect of the game, and killing players while invading is not that hard, no matter what you use.

              • Oh come on it’s not that bad. They are changing how much ammo players get for sleeper simulant per ammo box from 4->2 and that should help a lot. I’ve used a variety of weapons in gambit and I can tell you it’s not the only option for the heavy slot.

                  What's killed Gambit and PVP period on here is the constant whining about weapon choices and other teammates. I die all the time and it doesn't bother me It's a Game... Grow Up and either learn from your mistakes or quit.

                  • The queenbreaker is op too. I have it, used it, and omg it's a beast in Gambit. It also fires faster than the sleeper, and it gets more ammo.

                  • And when it´s nerfed and everybody is using Colony you will be back here complaining that the colony is too powerful, you can´t jump away and it makes Gambit boring. Oh, and the Spiders one-shot you. When will people realise that there are way more weapons able to one-shot you without much skill in this game than just the sleeper?

                        • This is garbage! If you don’t hide or dump your notes it’s because you are trying for 15 all the time! You have plenty of time for the team to fall back and make him engage all 4 at once which will have 1 die at most

                            There's just so much more to Gambit than avoiding being killed by a specific gun you think is over powered. If you can't pay attention to the enemy mote bar and judge when you should and should not be carrying 15 motes 4 miles away from the bank, then you're simply not doing it right. Maybe Gambit's not for you, and that's fine. You have every chance to 'fight it back'. Watch the enemy mote counter so you know when they're close to invading. Communicate that to your team and stay close to cover. Equip your short-range solution (which should always be the IKELOS shotty) and hole-up, watching your radar. OR bank your motes really fast, pull out your long-range solution (Bygones, Jade Rabbit, Sleeper Simulant) and hunt the guy down before he can kill anyone. The game mode is a hit with a lot of people - many of them have never bothered to come here because they have nothing to bitch about. Don't beg to change a game mode or a gun just because you don't know how to properly counter it...
