***THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE TELESTO***
Damage was reduced with their move from Power to Energy
- High impact frame now take 5 bolts (was 4 bolts)
- Precision and Adaptive frame take 5-6 bolts (was 5 bolts)
- Rapid fire frame takes 6-7 bolts (was 6 bolts)
Fusion rifles are wildly inconsistent. Damage falloff is severe making them extremely inconsistent with the reduction of damage at normal fusion rifle range.
Fusion rifle charge time was not adjusted to balance their use to the new Sandbox with all other weapons killing significantly faster.
Fusion rifles provide zero defense against roaming Supers. They cannot deal precision damage. Their base damage was nerfed. Supers have increased damage resistance against Energy weapons. For example, Merciless which used to OHK Supers, now takes out, at most, HALF THE SHIELD.
Can I get an official response from someone at Bungie acknowledging any of this and the fact that they were nerfed?

50 RepliesEdited by a_dmg04: 10/9/2018 4:49:07 PMThere were intentional changes to weapons moving from power to special when Forsaken was released. From the 2.0.0 patch notes:
Developer Insight: The tuning of Destiny weapons and abilities is inexorably tied to the systems that we build upon. Ultimately our goal is to still provide gameplay challenge despite a global increase in player damage output due to the new systems introduced. To properly support the higher uptime of Shotguns, Snipers, and Fusions, the following changes were made to all weapons in the game. ... Special Ammo Weapons • Reduced damage output of Special ammo weapons
With that said, we are watching the feedback as it rolls in. Do you find Fusion Rifles to be inconsistent, or under powered compared to other weapons? Or do you find them to be in a good place? Let us know!

1 ReplyDude, use the elatha fr4. You’ll thank me later

1 ReplyDude fusions are fine. The one thing I’d like to see is tighter bolt spread, especially at range. I think every special weapon is fine with exception of snipers. They need some love to be competitive in the current pvp sandbox and with how D2 maps are designed. There’s still way too much incoming flinch and short range scopes are few and far between. Th

1 ReplyIts fixed now with all the fusion rifle exploiters making so they don't have to charge to shoot.
-
So you're saying... nerf fusion rifles again?
-
2 RepliesThey were pretty lame in PvE as heavy weapons I don't know why they decided to make them worse when they moved them I wasn't using them before and now I'm sure as hell not going to use one now. They are a bit less effective in PvP but I couldn't care less about that. Only time I'd bother using one is against a major, mostly Vex Minotaurs. And now all they do is tickle them which made me switch back to my main weapon in the energy slot. I seriously doubt what ever buff they get is going to even remotely change my mind. Fusions are pretty crap now.
-
Because otherwise the main ingredient would still be the best weapon in the game in pvp
-
5 RepliesThey've literally stated in several places, prior to forsaken, that energy slot weapons were getting a damage reduction and kinetics were being buffed. Get your head out of your ass.

Edited by Fear of Missing Out: 10/10/2018 11:31:49 AMI find fusions to be much less consistent in D2 than they ever used to be.
But I had a god-roll Saladin's Vigil in D1, so I might be a bit spoiled.
1 ReplyErentil fr4. I’ve honestly never killed someone from as far away with any fusion as I have with that.
-
1 ReplySo...Buff shotguns?

2 RepliesEdited by Mike-MF-Hall: 10/9/2018 2:20:17 PMIdk. It was in the patch notes. Energy weapons as a whole that used to be heavy were nerfed going into Forsaken. Its not just fusion rifles
-
8 RepliesHigh impact always took 5 bolts ...and 4 with liquid coils for more impact.
-
2 RepliesMain ingredient does 38 dmg per bolt I think? In the TTK period the same archetypes did 47 per bolt If I remember correctly
-
Dude shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Too soon too soon about fusions bro.

8 RepliesEdited by Marz74: 10/9/2018 11:50:04 AMlol nerfed ???? i played gambit yesterday and a guy shoted me from the other side of the map with a legendary fusion rifles that had a really insane range , it was more efficent than the sleeper so they should nerf fusion rifles even more than this
-
1 ReplyI don’t see why shotguns didn’t get nerfed while fusion did
-
This is so frustrating
can we nerf fusion rifles
-
1 ReplyBungie said in the previous TWAB that they were going to buff Fusion Rifle damage...
-
Fusions were nerfed before the game was even released. Right after the beta, they took a hit. Which was bad, because they were weak in the beta.

Edited by $hirtless Captain Kirk: 10/9/2018 11:14:12 AMThey need a little touch up for sure. I can still use mine, but been doing it for years and years now.

4 RepliesYou mean heavy weapons are now no longer heavy weapons. This isn't a bug, it's called balance
