"You must restart the application using Blizzard's Battle.net app in order to play Destiny 2"
I picked up Destiny 2 on Sunday this week and I've been playing through the campaign. Just reached the story mission "Chosen" and thought I should backtrack and unlock my third subclass before going against what I presume is the final boss. I landed at the mission site, proceeded through to the Shard, activated my new powerset and started to unleash hell on the Taken...
And then the screen whited out and gave me this error message, with error code: buffalo.
Thing is, I am playing the game through the Battle.net client. I have been since I started playing the game, so I'm really not sure what's causing this error message - Blizzard says their maintenance for this week is due on Wednesday from 3AM to 5AM CEST, so I don't think this is intentional, but there seem to be some reports of server issues in the last hour or so.
Edit: Okay, turns out this was a server maintenance thing - I'm using the Europe battle.net client, American servers (which I'm playing on, due to friends in the US) were down but didn't show as offline on my client. No actual problem, back online now.
