As you know nearly every item from Forsaken is lost once used for infusion or dismantled and it cannot be retrieved from collections due to random rolls. This means the most people won't complete the four missions for Strikes, Crucible, Gambit and Dreaming City (random quest) as they have not stored/kept the full sets of armour.
Easy solution is to give these items a set standard roll when getting them back from collections. This stops people spamming retrieves trying to get a god roll but will help people complete these quests. I haven't hoarded all four sets and I imagine not many others have. If you dismantle a piece of gear just give it a standard roll when it goes to collections. It can't be too difficult to implement.

Edited by Steel Assassin: 11/19/2020 4:15:45 PMCan you please respond to this. I would really appreciate it if the collections could updated so the items that were crafted from it were not hard capped at 1060. I want to make auto rifles that are not with the season but are ok in PvE. I don't give a -blam!- about PvP and previous years guns are not only for the crucible. Please let me know what your plans are for this on [redacted] please make collections worth Something please!

Or... you know... don't delete things you know you need?
-
Actually if you have low light exotics you can summon a new one that's much higher light and the infusion cost is glimmer. Works for legendaries too.

1 ReplyHow about not dismantling those armors. Pretty simple.
-
You know you have the quests that require the full set of armor.... Why are you deleting the pieces? Seems more of a user error issue

This is what I don’t understand. At least give us an option at a roll for a weapon we’ve already had. So long as they are not god rolls it’s fine. If they have bad rolls it’s fine also because that means you can chase a drop of that weapon if you like a basic version of it you pulled from collection. Obviously you will have a version of it originally to unlock it in the collection. Could even make the year 2 items more expensive to pull from there. Also where are vendor weapons/armor to purchase and there should be a random roll of a weapon/armor piece each week instead of the same old better devils or crucible helmet that sits there. Also bring back factions permanently and stop cramming them into one week of the game. There’s to much to do now each week in terms of challenges/raids to earn exotics to focus the whole week on a faction grind at the same time. Was lucky in iron banner week to get useful rolls on full sets and each of the weapons allowing me to do all that weeks activities.

It’s mostly for reaquireing old items

Edited by Nyarlathotep: 10/8/2018 10:42:57 PMYou could still argue that this change is undesireable because if the standard roll is good enough, people will trade in their shit rolls in for it immediately, thereby removing shitrolls from the game. If the standard roll is too bad, nobody will ever retrieve it because it'll be too terrible to be worthwhile. Also you should avoid infusion whenever possible. The only times you should ever infuse is when you're trying to make a high-end PvE build or going into iron banner.

1 ReplyMy thought is that they should let you re-acquire the armor with the rolls you've unlocked. Say you've gotten every possible perk for your chest piece on one type of armor at some point. You should be able to go into collections an select the rolls you want, because you've owned that perk on that armor before.

They'll drop again, just play the game. #NoReRolls

1 ReplyEasy solution is to NOT dismantle those sets of armor so you can complete those powerful gear quests
-
I cant seem to get anther better devils the one inhave has open shot and moving target. I may just reacquire the one from last season.
-
2 RepliesI kept all armor pieces no matter the roll until I finished those quests - then I only keep good armor drops. There's NO reason to not keep the armor pieces when they drop just to use them for those quests and then infuse/dump them. Why is this a thing?

Edited by Amazinite: 10/8/2018 1:03:47 PMExotic armor has fixed random rolls that are pretty shitty for the most part, so idk why Bungie doesn’t just give Forsaken gear shitty random rolls. Like give every piece of armor in the collections primary ammo finder and some random unflinching or targeting perk for a primary weapon and we’re good. Or heck, give reacquired gear no perks. That way we still need to find it in the wild for good rolls.

2 RepliesYou have 500 slots in the vault now no reason you can't keep 20 pieces of armor for 4 missions after you earn them. It used to be 100 slots, then 200, so 500 is great.
-
The way I see it, it was a way to clear up the majority of my used, vault space so I had more room for random rolls. If a gun's roll is fixed and it's not in your primary or secondary loadout, why keep it? Dismantle it, take the materials, and pull it back out if you ever feel nostalgic.

1 ReplyYou silly person, it wouldn't matter. :P The requirement is for season 4 armor. :D Also one area where collections is pretty fly is getting a combo ghost for the flashpoint planet.

That would be great! I infused a Titan mark from the dreaming city and it won´t drop again for me.
