The puzzles are fine. This one was kind of crappy because of the way it was designed. You had very little perspective on the jumps because of all the darkness, and depth perception was difficult. It was okay with Warlocks and Hunters. But I was getting really pissed trying to do it with a Titan. I kept overshooting the landinds because I'd come down with too much forward momentum.....or die on impact because the game decided that I'd come from too high up. I was really getting salty until I tried to approach more like I was trying to FLY into them landing spots rather than seeing them as "jumps."

2 RepliesIts funny how people complain about puzzles. In my opinion it makes destiny uniqe game. You wanna shooter go play cod or battlefield.

3 RepliesI agree. This is a first person shooter, not a platformer. I rather bungie make better AI enemies and challenges using/not using my abilities then make jumping puzzles. I feel it's an easy way out to making challenging content. Every once in a while isn't bad but it shouldn't be that difficult. The Whisper mission isn't that hard for me, but I can see how it can be for some people. Now I've tried the whisper mission a few times with randoms and one person always cannot complete the puzzle and we run out of time. So I have yet to complete it. I hope bungie decides to leave jumping puzzles behind in the future and engage the players in more unique challenges.

i never felt it added anything to the game besides just slowing activities down. give me mini-bosses with interesting mechanics over dull platforming. times 1- 10 - hahahahahah so and so fell.... 20- 10zillion ... godammit we have to get so and so up again

9 RepliesEdited by ken31cayman: 10/7/2018 3:08:32 PMWhen this game focuses on jumping puzzles it is not fun. Like the KIng's Fall jumping puzzles, I used to shake my head each time I did these. Which was not many times I can guarantee you. This week's Ascendant Challenge is another one I tried once, then quit 2 minutes later after realizing what this was. I'll play what's fun to me, and leave the rest.

Yeah. I get frustrated with all the platforming stuff too. It wouldn't be so bad if the jumps were straight-forward and didn't require 10 practice runs each. Then, knowing you're gonna start at the beginning again if the wizard kills you - yeah - I'm done. I'll wait till I'm 600 and I can tap dance the boss...

If the ascendant challenge is what this is about, then this may help you if your a titan :) https://twitter.com/chaosprimeZ/status/1048981292111548417 Good luck guardian!

Jumping puzzles are fine.... till the ledge is around a corner as big as a brick that's coated in the worlds finest butter with a taken blast cannon thing to just shoot you off to frustrationville. Guess they wanted people to use their exotics for jumping that badly.

3 RepliesStay away from Mario games.

2 RepliesJump puzzles are fine, it's Bungies physics that are awful. Feels like we're jumping around in a bounce house covered in butter.
-
6 RepliesI agree. There is too much platforming in d2 lately. Have you ever done the whisper quests? You are jumping on some ledges the size of a brick that weren’t designed for characters to jump on.

25 RepliesNot a single jumping puzzle in this game is hard

1 ReplyThe raid? It’s not that hard if you know what you are doing.

8 RepliesEdited by TheShadow-cali: 10/7/2018 2:01:31 AMYeah, it doesn't help that their ledge grab it broken too.

3 RepliesI think jumping puzzles fit into the game very well. We’re supposed to be “guardians” and have super powers and shit. We’re supposed to be able to jump/fly around and use abilities. I don’t know why you guys hate them so much, they’re fun...

Better than aiming and shooting

Edited by WED Nosce: 10/8/2018 11:55:10 AMYou're playing a Sc-fi, Fantasy game wherein each playable character has Magical abilities to either fly, jet, or multi-jump and you're upset that there are jumping-puzzles? This isn't COD, you realize that right? Jumping puzzles were included in Destiny 2 to the degree that they exist today, at the request of the Destiny community. The number of jumping-puzzles in this game is a direct response to the players asking for it. You and others who don't like jumping puzzles are the very small minority and probably playing the wrong game.

15 RepliesThere are players, like myself, who have difficulty with jump mazes. I have hand tremors, so it isn't something that I can work around. I just spent 30 minutes failing repeatedly on my hunter, so I am done, possibly until next weekend. I'm not even going to attempt ascendant challenges anymore, they are just too much of a pain.

2 RepliesThis forum is just full of low IQ manchildren that complain about everything, like this no-lifer.

Edited by Infamous067: 10/8/2018 1:21:15 AMJump puzzles is it? Im sorry but is there anything the community wont cry about? Jumping puzzles only takes a bit of patience to do, if you don’t like it then you shouldn’t play this game. Now if you said falling damage was an issue on a game where players jump really high and make jumps all over the place then I’m with you.

Agreed. I'm okay with some of them, but right now it's like Bungie is just beating that dead horse too much. Those stupid throwing orbs are irritating as well.

I think they're pretty cool. Tough, but cool. I'm all for deepening enemy AI too though. Would LOVE to see a maze as well. Would love a tight corners maze with shifting walls where one of those big slow lurking Taken knights was after you.
