Same here.. constantly put against teams or groups of pros, while our team is bunch of starters or casuals, and even when I am first or I do really the best I can, it is not enough and I drop. Peos say that when you are good enough and you really want it, you can get through competitive to Fabled, but my opinion is that you have to have luck on teammates that you play with, because even when good, you cannot carry the whole match. Especially when you play solo and with randoms. I had zero match today where I felt like playing against equals or having any real chance to defeat my opponents, our teams always were two steps below our enemy. Even when using the top notch weapon, Ace, and getting myself into first place of the match, it didn't help and we lost. Soo many points lost in competitive today. And people still don't understand, why we play solos when this is especially made for teams. Well: LFG is a place where groups of try hards mostly group up, with requirements set high and if you are a casual who starts a topic there, you're mostly going to be ignored unless you show you have some extra ordinary skill to add to the team. So what I do, I just ask in clan chat of my clan, which contains always around 100 active players, not all at the same time, but since it is part of a huge clan community (Shrouded Gaming) there is a system to always kick out guys that didn't play for a week, so we make sure that there are only active players. But guess what, I barely get somebody from there to play a competitive, because they don't want to, or don't have time. Last place is a discord chat of the whole clan community, but again, not always you get guys at the right time, and people like me don't want to wait hours for somebody skillful or atleast average to go with you into it, we just decide we wanna play competitive, we play competitive. simple. CS:GO has a nice matchmaking system in my opinion, that is destroyed only by smurfs, but why not have it that way? Randoms easily group up, actually voice talk and get the shit done. Hell even Halo used to have ranked multiplayer. Sooo??

I've lost the 25+ games of comp in a row, last game I got 54 kills and my team hardly broke 20 between them and still lost. The game it looked like i was going to win I got kicked and booted to orbit so that was points lost even though I would have won the game. Its an absolute joke. There is nothing I can do to win, I've tried teams, duos, solo, everything. I've went from 1652 to 902.

I just might have to accept the fact that i won't get lunas. I lost every game tonight and over 200 points to teams with lunas and not forgotten. Seems like my guns shoot confetti and do little to no damage.

yeah I personally kind of hate competitive, at low rank at least perhaps it gets better after brave but as a solo player looking at my teammates half the time and seeing them level 20 and under with no exotics and without their subclasses unlocked is just disappointing. doesn't really matter how good a player is most of the time if they are only level 10 they are going to suck in competitive vs level 50s because they don't have good weapons/gear/exotics/abilities unlocked. the fact that bungie even matchmakes me vs or with someone under level 50 in a "Competitive" playlist is honestly laughable.

Matchmaking is horrible. Ive accepted that sbmm is part of it, but at least put some potatos on The other team instead of all of Them on my team, amirite

It's hard because most people who wanted Luna's Howl went for it early (roughly 19k people across all platforms are above 2100 Glory, I think) so they'd never have to play Comp again and as a result, the population is low. It's certainly much easier to rank up this season that last, but Comp still has an awful reputation and lacks the player count for Bungie to really combat it too much. I stalled at 1600-1800 Glory, that was the point I started regularly finding teams with much better stats than mine and Glory ratings of 3000+. By the same token, there were a few matches against teams around 400, so I can't imagine how they felt.

Three times in a row now I’ve been out on an uneven team right before breaking into Heroic. What is happening??

I’ve had it go both ways. I went from a 2.8 kda to a 2.05 playing comp. not every loss was my team mates. There were some games that I just couldn’t get a kill. Everyone has good and bad games, sure some of the people you get on your team are flat out bad and will never be good. Sometimes you lose because you don’t perform.

Bungie does not have to copy MM from another game, they should just use the one they had in Destiny 1 for Iron Banner, it worked very well and was SBM.

Had my last game, dude sent me hatemail since he had one more kill. Despite his kd being half of mine in survival!!
