I think since I paid $40 dollars for this update, the ONLY exotics that drop should be in year 2. I'm a year 2 player now. I don't care about year 1 exotics. I've done nothing after my days of work but play this stupid game for hours on end only to receive 2 YEAR 1 EXOTICS, TWO THAT I ALREADY HAD. I'm sick of it. Meanwhile, ALL of my friends that I play with regularly have gotten MULTIPLE year 2 exotics. I paid good money for this game, and I can't even enjoy it. I can't get my light higher because shit RNG. I can't get the Luna's Howl because of bullshit matchmaking. I can't play the raid yet, I can't do hardly any high light activities. I can't even get a -blam!-ing exotic engram to drop. I -blam!-ing hate this company. This game is so cool, but the systems in place are total bullshit. Working as intended. Well, if your intentions are to piss your players off beyond belief, then you get an A -blam!-ing Plus. I'm so -blam!-ing close to giving this game and it's company up. This happens time after time after time after time.

you cry alot in real life dont you?
-
They did address that in the TWAB. Less chance of getting something you already have.
-
You’re only 517..... you’ve barely played this game 😂
-
560, but thanks for noticing my Locks PvP loadout.
-
Lol how was I supposed to know?
-
Well, how about just not assume? That's a start. You know what they say about assumptions...
-
I didn’t assume, I looked at your character and saw that his overall light was 517.
-
That is the definition of assumption lmaooooooo. You looked at the numbers, and assumed them to be true, knowing that I can move gear around from this app even. Look, now my Lock is 537, and I haven't even logged into the game yet today. Loooooooool
-
Still can’t tell if your warlock is really 537. That would be assuming right?
-
I'm just trolling you man, I'm not being for real. I'm not super worried about power level all that much. Just extremely salty that I haven't gotten any sick new gear yet, well at least the stuff locked behind rng.
-
Lol The exotic rate is being fixed soon, and I know how you feel. One of my friends has 7 forsaken exotics. And I’ve played more then him. But on the other hand, I do enjoy this drop rate, not the duplicates, but the drop rate is fine IMO
-
That's what I'm saying. I think the drop rate is just fine. I really do. But when the only two I've managed to score were both year 1 gauntlets I already have, salt ensues. I want to be excited when I see an engram. Not hopeless. And take everything that Bungie says with a grain of salt. They've been working on a "duplication protection" for a couple years now.
-
Now you're catching on!
-
Edited by Disciple4Christ4: 10/3/2018 4:45:35 PMSince I don’t know if it’s 537, I’m gonna assume it’s 517
-
There's no way you have been playing a good amount since forsaken launched and are only 517. Unless you are literally wasting your time in game expecting to get max level from public events like in year one. (Thank God that isn't a thing.) Either you don't have enough time to play for a game like this or you think you should be able to get max level by doing patrols and you're just gonna keep doing that hoping one day it magically happens. Either way the game is fine. Progression is fine. Drop rates are fine with maybe the need for a little buff to duplicate protection.
-
Oh my goodness, I'm so sick of people looking at my characters using that as an excuse. I've been maining my warlock only so far because I'm desperately trying to get Luna's Howl and competitive rank is character based. You are viewing my warlocks PvP loadout, where light doesn't matter. I'm 560 on my lock. I work full time, but I still get on immediately after work and put 4-5 hours in EVERY NIGHT. Even more on the weekends. Just because the system is working for you, does not equate it to working for EVERYONE. That is what RNG is. It's a bullshit system and it needs tweaked. I only get so many powerful drops and prime engrams, and more than 50% of the time, it doesn't help my light. I can't get exotic engrams to drop, so not even duplicates are helping my light go up. Are you seriously telling me that ~25 hours a week (that's a very modest number for how much I actually play) is not enough to see some semblance of a reward? Bungie is literally the only game company I've given my money to since D2 came out. I have literally not bought and played another game. I'm a loyal fan to this game. Players deserve to feel rewarded for time spent in game. I'm not the only player that feels this way. Many players are feeling screwed over. The system works more for players and less for others. That's bullshit. You can't use arbitrary numbers (that aren't even an accurate representation of my playtime) to just assume that I don't put the time in. That's a bullshit argument.
-
These trolls are helping me understand. You play this game how you want. I only have 1 of the new exotics myself, and I think 1 from xur one week. I've been getting duplicates from the fated engrams myself. You are 100% correct in this debate, and anyone who says otherwise is just looking for an excuse to troll. I hope they fix it too. I've played since week 3 and i'm only 540.
-
Wow, you've gotten dupes from fated engrams? Fated engrams are litteraly designed NOT to give you dupes. This game needs a massive overhaul and thank you for not being a dick like all these other people.
-
Yeah, I'm guessing since I have every exotic minus Year 2 stuff the Year 2 exotic drops are not in his table. I'll see once more tomorrow but if he doesn't really give me things I dont have then i'm done with xur.
-
Ohhh I see. No he doesn't give year 2 he is useless for year 2 players. That's another complaint a lot of people have.
-
Level another character it will make you go up much faster. Stop spending so much time playing competitive if you are so worried about leveling because after the 5 games for the milestone it's not going to give you increases. 560 is absolutely high enough to do the first couple encounters in the raid which will give you two very high drops. Yes rng will screw you sometimes. Happens to everybody. It will average out the vast majority of the time. Saying you paid for this game and blab blah blah means nothing. You got what you paid for. Buying a game doesn't mean that you deserve anything you want in the game the moment you want it. That's entitled and asinine.
-
Yes you paid $40 so let's remove year 1 exotics from everyone's drops because there definitely aren't people who had quit or took a break missing year 1 exotics. The exotic drop rate is crap and I'm pissed about it but you aren't very persuasive.
-
What are you on about? I didn't say remove them from everyone's loot table. But since we're in forsaken, playing mostly, if not entirely, forsaken content, my chances at year one exotics should be near non-existent. I mean, Xur -blam!-ing sells 3 exotics and a fated engram every week, for Christ sake. If you don't have year 1 exotics still, buy them from him. Is this really so difficult to understand?
-
Just my two cents but when you unlock an exotic weapon it should not ever drop again at all since it completely defeats the whole concept of using the collection tab, and even after debating that they are powerful drops it still feels like it’s no more powerful than completing a low standard weekly engram. I am almost to 580 and have never gotten any new drops just seven old ones 4 of which were weapons.
-
I'm inclined to agree with you on this
