As of a few days ago I stopped using Burning Maul and started using the regular ol version of hammers and I noticed that it's so much more fun running rampant with Hammer of Sol than it is with Burning Maul. The throwing hammer is laughable but the damage on the super isn't that bad but it's a little mediocre compared to Melting Point. Leave a comment on what could make Burning Maul a little more worthwhile.

They need to increase the speed you can run in the super because people just run away. Also the swings should be a one shot, I don’t know why it’s not in the first place and can’t tell you how many times I get shotgunned out of my super because of that. I’d call that a reasonable buff

Mini throwing hammer can hit for 20k damage and more. Burning maul has the capablity of out dpsing nighthawk. Devistator is more than good in pve. It only struggles against flying enemies.

3 RepliesEdited by Jezrelm: 10/4/2018 1:22:41 PMAll the new Titan subclas are trash, I use the regular version to. Burning maul doesn't even kill a guardian on crucible you hit and you sends them flying away from you, very very sad.

2 RepliesBurning Maul sounds like something you treat with feminine cream. They need to change it back to the name it was when it was first revealed, Siegehammer. Now, it feels very MHW to me. It's great when you're fighting a giant hell pickles, not so much against other Guardians I find. This is due to the slow nature of the Super. It really needs a close gap function. I think a good old fashioned hulk jump/forward lunge is in order.
-
13 RepliesYou smash a boss and they go flying away. Makes it hard to follow up attacks. Titans definitely got the wrong end of the stick with the new supers. They’re the worst of the bunch.
-
6 RepliesYep, because tracking insta kill fire tornadoes are underwhelming.. 🙄
-
You can get more damage from it than nighthawk with the right abilities stacked
-
1 ReplyTitans are completely underwhelming in general. Through out D1 I maimed Hunter and burned out on it so when D2 came out I switched to Titan main. I have all 3 but I'm seriously considering switching to warlock. There is so much to do in forsaken I only have time to play one character at the moment.

1 ReplyYou wanna know whats Underwhelming? Golden Gun, it serves no purpose. It should 1 shot EVERY super, 2 shot bubbles down, etc. It has ZERO purpose in the entire game.
-
1 ReplyPFFFT It does more damage then NIGHTHAWK I’m a Titan but use synthesis and it is a freaking wrecking machine AND dune marchers let you be Thor so there’s that
-
Try burning maul with synthoceps and get back to me please
-
They legit just copy pasted the iron lords ax from rise of iron

1 ReplyEdited by CIKiller: 10/3/2018 10:37:49 PMThe only thing I would change is to make the tornados not launch enemies into the air, and increase the light attack damage. Finally, make it so Burning Maul does not lose super energy faster when using light attacks compared to spamming heavy swings. Otherwise, I love it, the mini Hammer is great for when all of my guns are out of ammo and I need that thing to die. The Super makes me feel amazing, and I haven't seen anything that scares people more than a Burning Maul running straight at them.

I stopped using it. For most situations, throwing hammers are much better and doesn't expose you to dangers, like stomps, or shotguns.
-
Fun for PVP but more of a hindrance in PVE i'm finding..
-
Use Burning maul with Synthoceps, while you have Roaring flame 3x. You can out damage both Blade barrage and Celestial Nighthawk As for PvP, Hammers is a better choice
-
What could make it a lot better is if the small strong enemies wouldn't fly away with the slam. I can't get as much dmg done when they're in the air :/

Edited by Wicked_Winnie: 10/3/2018 10:35:23 PMIt was fun to play with but 2 things made me switch back to regular hammers (top tree): 1. Melting point 2. Enemies fly away when hit... this is absurd! (If anything, the big hammer should drive the enemy into the ground about 2 feet, preventing them from executing STOMP mechanic).

1 Replyuse dunemarchers with this skill tree. Sprint, throw hammer, obliterate clusters of enemies. Sprint back to pick up hammer, throw it again. I personally love using tractor cannon. So i use it in conjunction with the buff x3 and annihilate any boss or deal ridiculous damage.
-
Don’t you insult my little boy.
-
Eh, still better than Tether.
-
I tried it as well. Back to throwing hammers.

Edited by DuBChiri2: 10/3/2018 6:55:33 PMI personally think burning maul is good, but it's a bit too reliant on the roaring flames perk. I feel like burning maul should replenish it's health when you kill enemies in the super just to give it more reasonable sustain. After that, make it so continuously using the spin attack REDUCES the amount of energy you use to extend its overall duration as well as it passively building roaring flames. When it's fully stacked this super is really strong, but without them it's pathetic as hell. It needs a consistent source of enemies to make it a powerful super, and that's just ridiculous. Maybe decrease the overall damage buff roaring flames grants to the super in exchange for a higher base damage. Even it out to where the end result is still the same or maybe like 5% better. This super CAN wreck in crucible, but only if you use the slam attack. The spin attack is too slow, weak, and has bad hit detection. With the changes I offered above, it would ease the burden this super has to deal with. Let me know what you think. Made a post: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/248961245

Just make it so that enemies aren't LAUNCH INTO THE STRATOSPHERE BY THE FIRE WHIRLS!

Boo dickle doo

Having it's initial light slam like fist of havoc. The biggest draw back on hammers is in PvP you can cross map hear the activation. By far the easiest to avoid thanks to the 5 second early evacuation warning.
