its been a month since launch. Seriously I can’t do anything with my gear. I have allot of gear I want to infuse and masterwork.
When (if ever) will we get masterworked exotic armour and Y2 exotic catalyst to chase? Feel like there is nothing to chase in strikes anymore.
It’s been a great start to Y2 don’t get me wrong but not addressing the resource economy ASAP is holding players back.

1 ReplyMasterwork cores are very easy to get. Spend shards on planet materials from spider. Use planet materials to rank up faction on that planet. Dismantle all the legendary and masterwork gear you get. Also shaders. Hardly lose any shards in the process. I had 8 masterwork cores yesterday and ended up with over 70 using this method and actually gained shards in the process.

23 RepliesThe no lifers, youtubers, and those who've hoarded materials still have a bunch. So Bungie isn't changing it yet. This was done to drain the community's resources as well as artificially prolong content
-
8 RepliesWhen is "plenty to do for solo players" happening...only reason I bothered with forsaken. Should have learned from D1 when they said that was playable solo or with friends.

12 RepliesEdited by Lyrro: 10/3/2018 8:13:50 PMIt will be fixed just in time to coincide with the launch of Black Armory, that way Bungie can advertise that they "fixed it" with this new dlc in order to promote annual pass sales. This is how Bungie works, it's what they've always done and I expect it's what they will continue to do. They figure out what players are complaining about the most, what items and/or fixes are most coveted, and they make those changes. Then they stockpile those changes or additions so they can conveniently launch alongside the next bit of paid content, at which point Bungie can use those "new" or "fixed" features to help advertise the new dlc. Best case scenario, these changes will not launch until Black Armory. As several others have pointed out, the entire point of this economic blunder was to burn through the players' stockpiles from y1. A process which would take a long time given that a lot of people stockpiled and are holding onto those stockpiles until they get their gear to the high 500s to 600 before going all out. That means Bungie will have to wait until then before they can "fix" the economy.
-
Notice how when they found out about players being able to buy a certain weapon from their collections and deleted it for mod components it was fixed immediately? That shows exactly what kind of people work at Bungie. Any unintentional action that benefits the player is addressed right away but any bug, glitch, or actions that disrupts the player experience they take their sweet ass time. 😐

9 RepliesOr just remove masterwork cores from infusion all together.
-
3 RepliesI don’t mind the grind for masterwork cores. It makes sense that they are hard to get. If they get easy to find everyone will complain that the game has no challenge.

October 30th
-
Just announced in twab. 30th October we get cores for completing spider bounties
-
3 RepliesThe last clan level perk is that the weekly clan bounty rewards a single masterwork core...
they won't do anything to improve it
-
1 ReplyEdited by Seraph: 10/4/2018 4:55:09 PMBungie’s investment team just threw that out there so that the community would put away their flaming pitchforks, I sincerely doubt we’ll be seeing a fix for that before the Black Armoury DLC ( and even then, it’s highly unlikely it will satisfy everyone ).
-
In the TWAB, Bungie said it would be coming on the 30th.
-
1 ReplyJust read the TWAB, they are adding them to spider bounties, not bad. I knew they wouldn't completely remove them.
-
18 RepliesNever hopefully. End game materials should be hard to get
-
I upvoted your post OP, but just to be clear, Bungie needs to remove MWC from infusing. Renaming them and opening another source (when we have no idea what hoops would be involved) is unacceptable.

Spring 2019

17 RepliesI just returned to the game this expansion. Good to know it will be ruined by casuals again soon.
-
1 ReplyTry leveling up your other two characters. Heck even your first one. Get raid ready. Do shattered throne in a couple weeks. Play some PvP. Exotic quests. Basically anything but doing strikes all day and the game won't feel stale.
-
Umm not till your 600 and figured a way around their bs system. The real answer is probably about the release of the next dlc. So they can talk about all the "improvements" we have made.

4 RepliesI have over a hundred cores. I use a bit of D2 arbitrage; buy either the Mars seraphite or Mercury simulation seeds from Spider for legendary shards. I prefer the simulation seeds because Brother Vance gives more legendary shaders than Anna Bray, that's important. I think it averages out to 1 masterwork core per 15 packages. I'll spend over a thousand legendary shards at a time, turning in the planetary materials for the weapons and shaders, dismantling them, getting back shards and weapon parts as well as the occasional masterwork core and mod components. It is time consuming as you have to buy 5 materials for per 1 legendary shard a button press at a time. You can't simply choose to spend a hundred shards at a time or purchase a hundred simulation seeds at a time. So it takes patience. I have purchased Alkane dust from Spider recently when I was low on glimmer. For some reason Sloane has been very generous to me with cores as well as the rare shaders that grant glimmer upon dismantling. So if you need to infuse your fave weapons, there is a way you can do it if you're willing to put in the time. Low on shards? Spider is known to sell shards for glimmer. When I've maxed out my glimmer I'll trade it for legendary shards when Spider has that choice available.

Bungie said they would change the name of masterworks and increase ways to get them.
-
They removed something ! Me from the game LMFAO good luck with the streamer grind who’s job it is to ruin games for players because all they do is sit in front of the tv all day and game since ITS THEIR JOB !
-
56 RepliesYou dont know how to get infinite cores Im guessing? Feels bad...
-
6 RepliesThey didn’t say they would increase drops or remove their requirement. They only said they wanted to change the name. WTF?
-
3 RepliesMasterwork cores are being replaced with another type of material / currency. If you were up to date on current events you would have known this
