So I got into the habit of recording ALL of my match's now because I was convinced the crucible was rigged. Now granted I have to figure out how to save my recording to Facebook or something BUT I got proof that somethings up.
So the match was going ok, it was fairly even all around. At about 55 / 59 was when it turned and the other team suddenly jumped 18 points from 2 kills and then 21 from another 1. Now I didn't pay it much mind mid game but looking back on the match there was nothing I can tell that could have resulted in a 20Point jump.
The kills weren't from supers, headshots, or even someone who had been on a streak. Hell, I was one of the 3 that gave this near 40 point jump and I was barely at 10 kills.
But there I a point in the video I got was this one guy rounds a rounder and shotguns someone and he comes for me. Killing him was the normal 1 point. But killing my underwhelming, no-kill having ass was worth 9 points?
WHY!
IDK maybe its just me?
anyone else noticed this?

Destiny pvp, and even gambit, definitely appears rigged and suffers greatly from the way connections are handled, pretty much always has been that way. This is usually done through matchmaking, especially the skill levels and connections, although other factors also appear pretty fishy. Best guess is that it’s either some sort of algorithm that causes the screwed up things we see happening or it’s the result of an algorithm compensating for the lack of dedicated servers, smaller player pools, and the desire for faster que times - or all of the above. Either way, I feel the goal is to keep us around a 1kd and a 50/50 win/loss ratio, much like the old algorithm did in D1, but in D2 playing with a stacked fireteam seems to throw this off a bit and generally results in better stats and a better experience overall. This is possibly by design, to encourage more social activity and group play, but who knows. It could just be that the connections are more stable when in a stacked group, but that still wouldn’t explain why so many solo players are so often getting put with other randoms only to be slaughtered and pad the numbers of stacked groups and full clan fireteams. Seems suspiciously deliberate to a lot of folks. Does sometimes feel like if it was random then it wouldn’t be so common. I remember back in D1 when I used to play crucible every single day and was trying to tell folks it was rigged or would describe the things I was seeing - like players taking no damage, teleporting across the map, shooting clear through walls and solid objects, mysteriously fluctuating connections, etc. They’d usually think it was just paranoia or an excuse (for what I don’t know), that is until I started saving pics and vids on Facebook and showed them. It was pretty funny that Destiny later came out and admitted to having implemented an algorithm months and months prior and that the goal of it was indeed to ideally have everyone more or less at a 1kd and a 50/50 win/loss ratio. We, the players, have been begging for legit pvp with dedicated servers and better connection based/skill based matchmaking for years. Doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. Best bet is to accept it for what it is or only play with stacked groups or to just stay far, far away from it altogether. Personally, I’ve had a much more pleasant experience since deciding Destiny pvp just wasn’t worth the trouble. I’m fine ignoring and abandoning quests or bounties that require pvp. If I really want to do pvp, there are other games for that.

Its called the damage ref. Implemented a few years back👍

“The other team pulled ahead, god this game is literally rigged.”

1 ReplyIt’s been known since D2 came out that the matches are rigged. Your win percentage will always be around 50% +/- 5%. If you see anyone higher than that, chances are they’re kicking people from matches
-
Yeah. It's rigged. Especially in Gambit.
-
when destinytracker shows I had a 85% chance to lose in a loss and a 65% chance to win in a win I know matchmaking is at least rigged to keep me around 50%, I'm actually around 46% win rate in quickplay, but much higher in comp/trials.

I've seen things like this since CoO. Mysterious jumps in points that make no sense. It's like Damage Referee is a pimp and this Point Jump ho is being seen around the neighborhood more and more frequently lol.

2 RepliesDon’t worry. It’s just the catch up mechanic making sure you have fair and competitive matches. /s

I think it has to do, with the assist mechanics. I hit a player, but someone else gets the kill, we both get points, and it is registered into your total kda at the end of the match. Since team shooting has been a D2 staple, if all 5 of your teammates do a little damage to your target, using body shots, grenade damage, and splash damage, and then you kill that target, everyone on the team gets points. And technically, some credit of the kill. If they would go back to the old system, of purely kd, I think it would eliminate, what many see as some type of catch up mechanic. But it would mean, those that suck in pvp, would have to deal with lower numbers on the post game report. And I think that's the reason they changed it in the first place. To make lesser skilled players, feel less worthless.

1 ReplyEdited by Maxximus Aurelius Rexx: 10/4/2018 1:58:19 AMJust check Destiny Tracker. Most of my losses were against high elo teams, you'd think high elo - high elo would make more sense. Or you're on a 3 game win streak then all of a sudden you got two lvl 20s and a 30 on your team and you get totally steamrolled. One game I had yesterday that was a total steamroll rage quit of a game. Our average elo was 1200 and the opposing team average was 1700, just imagine how well that went.

1 ReplyWheres this video? If you can see the kill feed there shouldn’t be any problems
-
dude destiny nerfs isp speeds to 750kb and 1mb , and psn slow down sometimes to much on 1g and 2 g duh , at 10mb and 400mb and it been shitty on psn , on this game , wish was dedicated servers.
-
i think you’re just not paying attention. we’ll need a video clip
-
Killfeeds cap at three kills. Might be that there were rapid kills and the counter was lagged out
-
4 RepliesThey rig it using matchmaking. Remember the kill feed only shows 3 at a time, could easily have been more kills. Comp is actually better for this reason since the matchmaking is based on Glory
-
I made a post about this and i agree
-
Bungie calls it Damage Referee

Where do you have the video saved? Ps4? Upload as private to your Facebook and then save that video to another site or just link it from there if you can. Shouldn’t be too hard to figure out. If the footage is what you say it is and it’s unedited screen cap, then that is super messed up... like #removebungie worthy level manipulation. If troll (no video posted) then
noice
2 RepliesDestiny tracker can show you the exact mmr of the people you are matching against. If you want real numbers instead of your feelings as data..
-
1 ReplyIf it's control you do realize the more caps your team has your kills are worth more right?
