Does nobody on this post know about the Cayde and Amanda thing? Cayde was alone guys, and if he had been with someone it would have been Amanda because she reminds him of his wife from before he was an exo. Which gets me to the real point which is that Cayde cling to the memories of his wife and kid. He explains that it’s his anchor point and it’s what makes him not go bad shit crazy/ evil. Cayde-6 was building harem. Amanda Holiday, Ikora Rey, and Petra Venj all had a personel connection to Cayde and thus were the most affected by his death. He may be an exo, but he still had human traits.

If you check the letter from Cayde all the way back to the week before Forsaken in the news feed, you will se they were definitely a thing.

Yes she’s in love with him. Whether or not they were in a relationship or if cayde loved her is completely unknown.

Negative. As much as Cayde flirted he was always loyal to his "Queen". This is stated in the final lore entry for The Man They Called Cayde. His "Queen" (his wife he may or may not of made up entire) was the representation of his best self and what kept him going. "Ace" was his representation of his resolve to live.

I tend to think of Cayde as a dude who hit on anyone, whether he had a chance or not.

Possibly. Probably. In his "Will" the only two people that Cayde left messages for where he dropped the snark and actually spoke from the heart were the ones he left for Ikora and Petra. The difference being that Cayde left room for the possibility that Ikora might have killed him. To him, Ikora seemed to have been an example of what he should have been. But Cayde clearly just assumed that he would simply get caught up in---and fell victim to----the cloud of trouble that follows her around. And, in a sense, he was right. Petra seemed to be someone whom he was grateful for the fact that she accepted him for who and what he was.

I think they had a pretty deep connection, but I don’t think it was romantic. They respect each other as equals, which is a lot coming from either of them because they both seem pretty aware that they’re currently the best at their respective roles.
