1 ReplyWell I don’t mean to hate on bungie but the current engine, or tiger engine, kinda sucks. Based off of a kotaku article. What do I know

1 ReplyEdited by Ken_Malibu: 10/2/2018 6:59:12 AMBungie have their own engine that's basically the one from Halo 1. Somehow it takes just under 74 years to load, edit and recompile maps so that's useful.

Destiny on CryEngine

2 RepliesWon’t happen Frostbite engine is EA exclusive. I may be wrong, but as far as I know they won’t lease it out either!

That or maybe Unreal. Something that isn't 30 FPS and doesn't have the lowest tick rate of any FPS in modern gaming.
-
Unreal engine would be better. I dont trust ea
-
Unreal would be awesome. This dated engine is garbo.
-
Don't quote me, but I think Frostbite is exclusively EA - since it was made by DICE. It would be interesting to see how Destiny would look like on Unreal 4.
-
The halo engine is perfect for this game and they should just continue to build onto it. Forcing frostbite onto everything will net you a game like andromeda.
-
Of course. Imagine nessus with those realistic plants from Star wars battlefront...
-
i don't know anything about game engines and i don't care to learn either
-
Maybe, but if i were going to license an engine, it would be Unreal or IdTech.
